Attitude from the personnel needs to be improved. (check-in counters have terrible systems in all the stops)There is no concern for the travelers...it is like they are doing you a favor.

With the seats in front of us in an upward position, we had great difficulty getting up to use the restroom. When the seats in front of us were reclined, we couldn't move! We couldn't even put our trays down. Nine hours of miserable flight. We couldn't change seats as the flight was completely full--in fact, it was over booked. Unfortunately, I chose United to save a few dollars. NEVER again!!

Given the crowds and the ash and all that could have gone wrong with a RT to Rome in May, I really can't complain. The cost for a non-stop was too high, but when balanced against stopping in Frankfort or Munich and spending 3 or more extra hours... sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. Service is average for United. Food is adequate, and the 777 video system is better than most. The key to decent flights on United.. and the reason we fly them almost exclusively is the ability to get into economy plus seating. The 5 extra inches of legroom make it manageable.
