Our check in was amazing! Security was good. Flight was terrible. Uncomfortable seats. Service slow and lots of screaming children.

The good news was we were able to stow our carry-ons in the overhead bins. Folks who boarded after we did were not so lucky. Their carry-ons had to be checked.

take off and landing are always iffy for me...I hate bumpy landings and I am afraid of take offs. The pilot did a good job. I am UNHAPPY about the exorbitant fees for baggage. I won't use them again d/t these fees.

What do you expect from modern air travel? The flight departed and arrived on time so is worth rating at several stars. Other than that, it was pretty lame - no free food (not even pretzels) and seats with such short pitch that when the passenger in front of me reclined all the way, I couldn't get out of my seat without hitting the seat back (and I'm not fat: 6'2", 185 lbs.). So: flight OK, but the plane sucked.

I think that US Air has the stingiest first class of any major carrier, although a good flight attendant can make the ride pleasant. Still the extra room and nonstop makes this my preferred carrier from DC to Florida.

We checked in online and off we went! The flight was fine -- after getting through the security process. Even though we flew "economy" the seats were very comfortable with adequate leg room.
