Late taking off, but made it up in the sky. Enjoyable flight all the way around. The nonstop flights are the best for me.

Overhead held together with cargo (duct)tape. Yes, really! Flight delay after getting on bus to the plane in Washington. On return, rain in Charlotte, it happens. But, couldn't somebody open umbrella's for passengers on the tarmack? How can an older adult, who needs to hold the handrail decending thestairs from the plane, hold a bag and open an umbrella? I thought it poor service, sure don't want to do it again. But I suppose I would, I had to get to a funeral for a beloved relative. Hopefully, I will not have to be on US Air again, if my older out of state relatives need me.!!
I was also very dissatisfied with Orbitz, as their mistake cost me three hours on the phone to a foreign country with poor connections trying to correct it. I did get it corrected, the people I spoke to helpful when they didn't have me on hold.
This booking experience and trip was the worst in a very long time. I do travel quite a bit and book for friends and family.

There was a stream of delays getting from Atlanta to Dayton. I left Tampa, Fl. on time around 9:25, went to Atlanta where I was sitting for about 4 hrs. I was supposed to arrive in Dayton approx. 2 something but did not get home until after 4:30. Never did hear what the delay was from and it was not weather related. Would have been nice to know, especially if mechanical, I would understand better.
