SEA to LAX Alaska flight fine. LAX = terrible. Construction = bussed all over 2 terminals with no direction where to go. Virgin America check-in & security at Vegas, looong and disorganized! VA ground staff in Vegas & SF unkempt & unprofessional! BUT Virgin America flight was surprisingly very comfortable. Nice plane; it was my first time flying it. If they would get the staff up to snuff, check-in counter open early for first flights it would be a very positive experience.

Even though the flight was a little late leaving Las Vegas, we were only a few minutes later than the initial arrival time. One thing that I don't agree with is the requirement to pay for snacks or 'meals' by credit card. Since when is cash not an acceptable form of payment? I had asked the airlines about that policy and they say it is for the convenience of the passengers ---- I don't think so. There are some who do not have a credit or debit card.

First let me say that Southwest Airlines has always been my go to airlines when I fly. I love the no frills, get me on the plane, get me to my destination safe, sound and on time and I'm happy. This trip as usual provided just that we arrived in Las Vegas right on time, and on the return flight we arrived in Seattle so early we had to wait for a few minutes to find an open gate. So if you want to be pampered while in the air, look somewhere else, but if you want to get from point A to point B on time and safely, then Southwest Airlines might be the right carrier for you.

The flight was good. Attendants were nice. The departure was on time which is very important. They gave free snack and drinks and also had an option to purchase more items. However it would have been nice to have options on the payment, they only took debit or credit. If a kid was traveling alone they may not have a debit card to use. Also, I wasn't thrilled about the $25 each way fee for the luggage if I wanted to check it. $50 difference in round trip is what would make me choose a different airline if their tickets were the same price as Alaska's tickets or a little more and their baggage check was free. Really you need to add at least $50 to the cost of your flight.

Everything was fine. However it seems that the space in between the rows (Leg room/stowing stuff) area seems to get smaller each time I fly. If you DO put your bag under the seat in front of you, you have to be some sort of contortionist to get to it.

Southwest offers competitive fares without the need to nickel and dime you to death. Cabin service is equal or better to any other airline. And, all southwest planes are US built!

Our flight was great, the seats were typical and the staff was nice. Unfortunately the first leg of our trip was slightl delayed and our second and final leg was was delayed as well without explaination. After departing from the final leg of our trip I realized that I had left my camera on the seat in the airplane. I filed a report with Delta and still have not heard anything. This is frustrating because I know exactly where I left it.

Everything was smooth sailing going down. On the return flight I was orginally scheduled to have a layover in Portland but I asked the Alaska attendant at the gate if they could let me on the direct flight instead. Without skipping a beat she said yes and printed me a new boarding pass with no additional fees or conditions attached. That sure did make my day and got me home 2 and half hours earlier than orginally scheduled. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was because there is an entire row in the middle of the plane where the seats don't recline and honestly, the attendants could have been just a smidge nicer. I fly often and Alaska is at the top of the list of airlines I enjoy flying with.

Flight Attendants were attentive and friendly. Kept asking if you wanted anymore drinks or small snacks (peanuts or pretezels) or if they could help with any other request. Carried bags on flight to Las Vegas. Checked in bags on the flight home. Not sure which carrousel our bags were going to be on. Had to wait for the reader board to tell in baggage claim. Over all the experience was great.
