5 of us made plans to go on girls trip to Hawaii, when we checked in they had changed our seats without contacting us and separated 4YO granddaughter from her mom. When we voiced our concerns, they said "you just book a space on the plane, not a seat".

We left Seattle early and had a smooth flight all the way. Traffic from the airport to Waikiki was worse that the flight. Return flight was smooth and uneventful. Crew were nice and freindly.

The flight attendants were cranky. Delta had put my 14 yo in the exit row even after we told her she was not old enough. Over the phone the rep said it would give you better bargaining once you got on the plane. The attendant asked her how old she was and then asked our whole family to move out of the exit row. I asked if just my husband and older son could stay and we got the stink eye. We explained that they had put her in that seat. She then said "write a letter". I was then seated beside a person who took up a seat and a half and struggle the whole flight to sit properly. Felt like 4th class. The seats hardly recline and you can't see the movies very well from your seat. I will never take Delta to Hawaii again if I can help it.

flight was scheduled to leave at 5:30pm on Thurs. wasn't informed til 4:30 about delay due to mechanical til 10:30.understandable. 10:30 no part for repair. waited for parts on one plane, tool to fix the part on next plane. then no crew to fly plane. delayed till next day. flight was cancelled till they found a pilot to fly out at 1:00 pm the next day. Delta management fed their gate people to the lions!! No upper management came out to calm anyone down. Horrible! Never fly DELTA!

Excellent service. Friendly and fun attendants. Good meal that you don't have to pay for. A main meal, snacks, coffee, water when ever you want it at no charge. They even checked our bags for no extra charge as overheads coming back were smaller. I would fly Hawaiian everywhere if they had all the routes!

My Hawaiian Airlines flights had complimentary meals, and it was just right amount for me. My daughter took other airlines and she did not have meals, she was not happy about it, also she was almost late, but lucky she could bought a carry in meal at air port. On my return flight, there was a man who brought food and it smelled greasy bad all over place.

alaska airlines has bigger luggage compartments than Hawaiian, Northwest or Delta - the 3 airlines that fly direct from Seattle to Honolulu. This made it a lot easier with all of the passengers carry-ons. The plane was smaller and there was no movie but I would trade that for luggage space.

This was a 767 plane, I think. 3 seats on each side and 1 aisle. Every single seat was occupied and it was tight, tight, tight!!! No leg room whatsoever and I am only 5'4". The seat width wasn't any better. We used a luggage express service offered by our cruise ship so our baggage was delivered to the airline and the ship printed our boarding documents. This was a definite PLUS! We skipped the check-in lines and went straight to the gate. The flight attendants were friendly enough, offered water often, and they had free pretzels, peanuts or cookies.

We were seated in the very back. While it was handy being by the bathrooms with 3 children, they ran out of food (except deli packs). This was dinner time (our flight left at 4:55 pm) and we also had no overhead storage for our +5 carry ons. While we waited for all to leave the plane, making sure we picked up our garbage before we left, one of the stewards said in summary, hurry up. On the way back at the airport we found it was like pulling teeth trying to get answers from the check in guy. We tried to get seats closer to the front, and was up 7 rows but they still ran out of food. Smiles? 1/3 stewards tried really hard! We had ordered and paid for Dig.E players online beforehand and they had no record of our name so they 'trusted us' that we had paid.

Our flight to Honolulu last month was fine, but older plane, which was a disappointment and not as comfortable as the newer planes. Upon arriving at the airport for our return flight, we stepped into the First Class/Premier Club line and waited over an hour...it would have been faster to go through the regular line...ridiculous that no one could help out the ONE agent waiting on a couple with 20 pieces of luggage...and by the time we were up there, she was rude and short...certainly not encouraging us to return on Hawaiian airlines anytime soon!!!!

From the baggage porter in Seattle to baggage claim in Honolulu and the Great attendants it was a 5 star in the economy class. The Captain came on load and clear to situations whenever the time arrised to notify us of bad weather ahead. I will fly Delta again.

Hawaiian airlines was celebrating the opening of its newly remodeled Hawaiian Air terminal at SeaTac the morning we flew out. We were greeted with live island music, and lots of tasty treats and drinks to try out. The occasional door prize drawing also added to the excitement and festivities...helping us start our vacation off on a fun note right at the boarding gate.

If your luggage is even 3 to 4 pounds overweight,,,they will want to charge you especially at the Honolulu Int'l airport...Open your suitcase and start to remove items to your carry-on! They will say, oh that's okay!
