I always fly Alaska when possible. I fly every month to Denver. This time I took Frontier. The planes are smaller, no first class seating,Isles are smaller (many roll on bags won't fit isles) Seats are slightly smaller in width. You do get a chocolate chip cookie inlue of bag of nuts. No purchase of snack trays were offered. Attendants are less available during flight and we only had one drink service. Another note was there was 5 or 6 pilots dead heading back to Seattle and 4 of them were in the cockpit the entire flight. I will continue to fly my favorite, "Alaska Airlines," when possible.

“Business class on Southwest is a deception”

I was unfamiliar with Southwest but chose them for the least expensive business class flight. Little did I know that business class only means you enter the airplane ahead of economy class- seats are economy, service is economy, there are the same discomforts as flying economy. I felt that offering business class was deceptive, as it really is an upgrade on other airlines- so why pay more just to walk on the airplane ahead of economy passengers?

After excellent express check-in with my 95-year-old father in Seattle and wheel chair service to the gate, we were allowed to board first. Kudos for these. I asked for help with our two carry-on cases in the very narrow aisle and got it somewhat grudgingly. After we were seated and other passengers began boarding, I saw a short woman ask the attendant which bin she should use for her case. The attendant tapped an open bin, then stood by as the woman struggled to lift her case into the bin. No help was offered by the attendant, who was standing next to her. It looked arrogant. The passenger behind her reached forward and helped with the case. This same attendant was sullen and unfriendly throughout the flight. On the other hand, I left my book on the plane. Frontier Lost and Found was very accommodating; they mailed the book to me, and it was wating at home when I returned. Thank you, Frontier. Obviously, most passengers think that $20 is too much to charge for checking a piece of luggage. Why not compromise and charge $10? The airline will make a profit over the present practice, and passengers will be much more willing to avoid cramming the bins until the doors bulge, which I saw and which would probably fail under a stressed landing.

Missed the return flight by minutes--a nice gentleman found us a flight leaving just one hour later. The flight attendants were a lot of fun--with a fun sense of humor. And we were served chocolate chips cookies YUM! Smoothest landing ever!!

Alaska airlines is my favorite--on-time, friendly, clean, and the easiest (and fastest!) checkin and bag check process around. Plus, there's a new guarantee that your bag will be on the carousel within 20 minutes of the plane door openening. Both ways my bag beat me to the bag claim area!

“I had some surgery the day before and needed space to keep my legs elevated. Southwest was very responsive when I showed them a letter from my doctor and I was allowed to go on board first and get a bulkhead seat.”

Southwest Airline attendants are very down to earth and funny to boot. While it takes a little getting used to not having an assigned seat, I really like the cheaper flights and they are the only in-country airline who does not charge for your check-in baggage.

Both flights were an hour late due to late arrivals. Planes jam packed. Paying $40 for two people to get in the "A" group sucks.

I wanted to change my seat- cheerfully done. Since I was sitting behind the bulkhead, I was allowed to board early so I'd have access to overhead compartment. Flight crew were helpful and pleasant. Takeoff and arrival on time.

We were diverted to Boise due to a medical emergency on board. The crew was efficient in getting us back in the air without being too late. So, kudos to the crew. I've always found the crews of United to be good, but the planes have the least leg room of all my usual airlines.

For the second time when flying Southwest, as we were landing in Denver, one of the flight attendants broke into a silly song which just makes flying a little more human and humorous. -Vivian
