All the first class and premium fliers were called to board the Delta plane. Our group was announced and we stood in line for far too long a time--going on 20 minutes. After a number of passengers had boarded the plane, we were told that we should consider checking our carry-on pieces. We each had a carry-on, and I had a purse, which I am able to put under the seat in front of me. At the end of the jet-way, we were forced to give up our carry-ons because the overhead bins were full. Yet people ahead of us were allowed to board with over-stuffed back packs and over-stuffed duffle bags, none of which will fit under the seat. That particular passenger put BOTH pieces into the overhead bins, because neither of the pieces could fit under the seat. He was not the only one allowed to board with extra pieces and over-size bgs.

The airlines need to be consistant in following regulation sizes and number of pieces.

Why pay money to be treated like this? I don't think I'll fly Delta again unless it is absolutely unavoidable.

The single aisle is so narrow that the food/beverage cart can barely pass the seats. If you want to use the restroom and the cart is in the aisle, you have to wait until the flight attendants finish the service and have moved the cart to the very back or the middle galley.

It used to be that the in-cabin temperatures were so low that one had to wear a heavy sweater. Now the pilots keep it so warm that I feel like I've run around the high school track in summer.

In the past flying was fun and exciting to look forward to. Today flying is the pits.

Just fine, except for seating and misinformation given to me by ticket agent. The large plane was a lot more comfortable.

Once in the air, flight was fine. However, we sat on runway (#15 in line for takeoff)for 1 hr.! Pilot did make an announcement so we were prepared for a long wait. I appreciated the pilot's announcements of places of interest as we were flying over them - that was above and beyond the call of duty.

the seats are just too small. I'm a tiny person and was overwhelmed by the extremely large person in the middle seat (I was on the aisle). It's just too tight and uncomfortable for all. Zero leg room and I'm only 5'3" and when the huge guy in front of me pushed his seat back - grrrrrr. WHY can't people take a moment and say, "I'm going to put my seat back."?

Flights were on time which is great, but the seats were very cramped and the pretzels didn't make up for the fact that there was no movie, TV -- nada! That made for a looong 5 hour flight. Plus, I had to pay an extra $6/person to reserve the return flight seats so my son & I could sit together! What?? I'm glad for a direct flight from San Francisco to Atlanta, but Airtran needs to step up its game.

If you decide to fly Delta on a domestic flight from San Fran, be sure to arrive at least ONE HOUR before the flight no matter what your online ticket says. I arrived 40 minutes prior with a bag to check and stood in line for 10 minutes and was not allowed on the flight because my bag need to go through security. My ticket said 15 minutes prior! I had to fly out the next day! Take heed: either get there earlier, check in online, or take a carry on!

The plane was packed full, including lots of small kids who walked the aisles and were just being kids, but made lots of noise nonetheless. After about 2 hours the seats felt flat as a board and just about as comfortable. The flight attendants were in a good mood. But, the worst thing was that the in flight entertainment system was broken -- for the whole plane. Not good on a 4 1/2 flight and it really made the flight drag.
