Full flight with lots of folks bringing on rolling luggage, so gate staff was pleading with passengers to gate check - no luck, except for passengers forced to for trying to bring on too many items (hurray!) or items too big to fit in bins (double hurray!). Flight attendant Jeff took every opportunity to use the PA to goof with passengers: "This is a non-stop flight from SLC to Honolulu Hawaii... Just kidding folks!" Lots of other lame jokes throughout. Other FAs spent their time hawking headphones, meals and snacks, basically looked harried the whole flight. When I got up to use the lav, I found myself stepping into soaked carpet in the last two rows, and I was in stocking feet. When I said in surprise to the FA in the galley, "It's wet!" she shot me an icy stare. I asked if it was a drink spill, or was the lav leaking, she glared and said, "It's never a good idea to walk around without shoes." Inside the lav there were wet towels on the floor and an "out of order" on the sink. By the time I got out, the wet carpet extended four rows. Disgusting. Delta clearly puts customers' comfort - and plane hygiene - last.
