We flew out to Seattle on American last weekend. The good news was that we arrived only an hour late on the outbound trip as our aircraft for the DFW_SEA route was belly up with a computer problem; an alternate airplane was utilized. The bad news was the same as it's been for a while-surly stewardi ('cuse me, Flight Attendants!) with little to do as no meal service was provided, no pillows, no blankets (in tourist class, at any rate), the surliest of the stews informed me that the airline sells blankets, (although none were on offer) albeit pax in 1st class did get them to use for free... I wonder if the airline has any interest at all in how these attitudes and behaviors make people feel. The truth is, that my step-father was a Captain with American and I try to use them but loyalty is a fickle thing or at least can be.
