Never a bad trip with SWA.

On time, smooth flight, good people. Other airlines need to figure out what SWA does and copy it. Service with a snarl is not going to get repeat customers.

We're delayed as we 'work' on the aircraft

So we're delayed an hour as they announced that they are 'working' on the aircraft for mechanical difficulties. Once we boarded the plane the pilot came on, apologized for the inconvenience as they worked on a mechanical problem with the aircraft. PERIOD!!!! No follow-up sentence saying "the problem has been corrected and we will be on our way shortly" NOPE, let's not say WE FIXED THE PROBLEM, Let's just take off and "HOPE" it is fixed.

I was very upset on the flight to Sacramento, because people were bringing on bags that were too large or more than two. It made me realize that Southwest isn't enforcing this rule. Why am I wasting my time being so conscientious? It took 45 minutes to load. People couldn't get their bags on. Time was spent juggling and repositioning bags, cramming them in. I am getting upset just thinking about it.

On the flight back, I didn't see one bag that wasn't appropriate. Our full plane was loaded in 15 minutes. I think we were just lucky.

Purchased a flight on Delta, somehow ended up flying on a Horizon plane. Check-in was horrible, had to completely re-pack eveything, charged $40 for bags checked both ways, which defeated the cheap flight tickets I purchased through CheapAir. The plane was a small cramped, loud propeller airplane!

This is a 1:30 min flight over some of the most beautiful landscape---when it is not cloudy of course. I fly this route nearly every month and it is my airline of choice. The planes are clean, the cabin crew is superb, the snacks and drinks are more than adequate for the flight. Just a reminder: Passengers in Portland disembark on the tarmac....remember your umbrellas!
