This is the best way to travel coast to coast. Nonstop just makes it all easier, even though I must take a 2 hour bus ride to get to my destination, the bus picks me up and drops me off right at the proper airline.

Just what I expected. Almost everything was great. Could actually hear the loudspeaker and captain speaking. Hasn't been that way in the past. Sat in last seat on plane next to window. NEVER AGAIN. I think the plane narrows at the back. Knees hurt as I am short and do not quite touch the floor, no place to put my right arm except on back of armrest. Felt squished. Next time will try to get Boarding Pass from hotel as I wasn't sure they had a computer for customer's use. Good trip other than the tight quarters and I am only 5' tall.

Alaska Airlines is a great company and delivers as promised. Seats have a little more leg room and are comfortable. However they depend on Delta (driving every last traveler away) on the Boston end for the delivery of bags in 20 minutes. They really pay out because as we all know Delta cannot deliver.

I flew round trip from Portland, OR to Boston, MA and back. I checked in online, and checking my bag at the airport was a breeze - it took about 10 minutes. One on leg I rented an Alaska DVD player, which offered movies, tv shows & more. The sound didn't work on the 1st one and there was no problem getting it quickly replaced. (I used my own headphones 'cause their free headphones weren't good enough to play over the background noise of the engine.) Flight crew was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Everything is smooth on Alaska - no delays, FABULOUS customer service (even though that's provided by Delta at check-in in Boston!). It's my favorite airline and offers the ONLY non-stop flight from PDX to BOS & back! Judging from the fact that both flights were full, these flight are in demand, so I hope they keep them up.
