“Nothing like a 1-hop redeye! Especially with maintenance issues in PHL...”
Flight from Phoenix to Jacksonville
- Round Trip
- Number of Stops:
- 1 stop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Date of Flight:
- May 2010
- Seat Class:
10:55 PM PHX-PHL-JAX "redeye". As a Gold member, I am still troubled by US's decision to not allow preferred members access to Choice Seats. This meant that my seat was a window in a non-reclining row in front of the exit row. All other seats in the first 6 rows of coach were designated "Choice" with a $10-$15 price tag. Mind you this does not mean E+ seating (same old seats). This policy is leading me to rethink my bookings through year-end on another Star Alliance carrier so at least I can get a good night's sleep.
The plane from PHL-JAX was delayed by over an hour due to unspecified maintenance troubles. An alternate aircraft was called for...one of those good times to be at a hub city instead of out in the boonies. The crew did a good job getting people boarded and we actually made up some of the delay en route. Flew in F, but nothing special on that front.
Just another average flight on US Airways...
