This is the second very frustrating experience I had with Southwest Airlines. My frustration lies entirely with Southwest delaying and canceling their flights due to inclement weather. I understand airlines delay and cancel due to bad weather for safety reasons, but Southwest seems to over-react in these situations while other airlines try their best to accomodate their customers without forsaking their safety. Both of these situations were very crucial for me and I was very fortunate that there were alternatives and flexibility which allowed me to accomplish and meet my goals. I will never fly Southwest again either into or out of Philadelphia.

The trip to Tampa departed PHL ontime and would have landed early if there wasn't an in air weather delay. The trip to Tampa allowed me to carry on a bag that is on the max end of a carry bag. The same bag was not allowed to be checked from TPA to PHL. I only ask TSA to be consistent. The first class in air service was great on the way to Tampa but below average from TPA to PHL. The seats are now closer together and have rips in them. They also appear to be in need of a good washing as they have old dried food stuck to them. Let's start paying attention to the small things.

Typical SW flight - flight attendants are good - majority of travelers clueless! Really it isn't rocket science to board a flight in numerical order, find a seat, stow baggage and SIT down out of the way of boarding passengers. So my complaints are really about my fellow travelers! Come on people if you don't fly often or ever do some research so you are current with the process. And DO NOT fly SW if you aren't a casual and laid back person.

My flight coming home from vacation in Florida was quite uneventful. And this is a really GOOD thing when speaking about air travel these days. The US Airways gate representative was very cordial and accommodating, as were the flight crew onboard. The flight was not completely sold out so there was no one in the middle seat beside me. It was a beautiful day to fly with clear skies and all went well with the world that day. Thank you to airfarewatchdog for providing a low cost flight for me to visit with my sister in Florida. My rating is 5 Stars (or should I say 5 Paws) for this round trip!

My partner and I fly this route at least once a month. Let me put this as briefly as possible: it is the ONLY airline we choose to fly. Until about five years ago we were Platinum/Gold USAir customers with mega miles under our belts. That all changed once a friend turned us on to Southwest travel. The flights are on time, efficiently boarded, and customer-friendly. None of these descriptions can be attributed to USAir.

I always have such a great experience on Southwest. The crew is funny and so accomodating! I'm a travel agent and just by personal experience alone... I buy Southwest tickets and will fly them over any other carrier any day of the week. I love the "bags fly free" policy, too! Kudo's to SOUTHWEST AIRLINES!!!
