Delays both directions of round trip: Departing flight was over an hour late due to waiting for the airline (Midwest Airlines) to send an airplane to replace the one that was to arrive at my departure airport, because that plane had mechanical problems. I was happy that the airline is concerned with passenger safety, and I was happy to be placed on a plane that was said to have no mechanical problems. However, it was that noisiest plane I have ever flown in and it actually had me wondering if we didn't somehow end up on the plane with the mechanical problems. The return was also late by 1/2 an hour, and the seats were OVERSOLD. The airline asked for volunteers to give up their seats in exchange for $200 and a later flight! Seems they are also using small commuter planes to travel 1/2 way across the country. I am not a fan of flying much anymore.
