    My 89 year old mother was frustrated upon arriving in Pittsburgh to find that baggage handlers in Orlando had broken her lock to go through her suitcase. This was simply not necessary as she purchased a Protege 3-dial combo lock that is, and I quote: "The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) SCREENERS AND AIRLINE CHECK-IN STAFF AT AIRPORTS ARE TRAINED TO RECOGNIZE THE TRAVEL SECURITY LOGO. THEY UNDERSTAND THAT BAGGAGE WITH LOCKS DISPLAYING THIS MARK ARE PERMITTED TO REMAIN LOCKED. TSA SCREENERS HAVE ACCESS TO SPECIAL CODES THAT ALLOW THEM TO OPEN THESE LOCKS IN THE EVENT THAT THE BAGGAGE MUST BE OPENED FOR SECURITY". So my question to Air Tran is why did they not only break the lock but also the zipper. Inexcusable.

    The prices were a lot less than other lines.No baggage fees,or hidden extras.When we fly,it's Southwest,as long as they go where we are going.Flight attendants make the flight as enjoyable as possible.They actually display humor,which makes the flight go quicker.My recommendation is,SOUTHWEST

    Check in at Orlando International was quick and smooth. At gate, the attendants on the loud speakers were a little abrupt when it came to carry on. "You may only have 2 carry-on items. You WILL be charged $20 for any more than this". Placing items in the overhead bins was a little difficult also as some of the passengers in the rear of plane placed their luggage up fron so there was not enough space up front so passengers up front ended up with their luggage in the rear of plane. When mentioned to the one flight attendent she didn't care and said "whatever"!

    Flight 219 from Orlando was perfect/flawless

    Flight 6518 to Pittsburgh scheduled departure of 2:57PM left around 7:00PM. Couldn't find a full crew in Colorado Springs to make the cross country trip! Customer service claimed there were no other options except stand by on already overbooked single flight to Pittsburgh. United did provide a $150 voucher for a future flight.

    Just flew home yesterday (9/5/2010) and will be a "frequent flyer" to Orlando on Southwest Airlines. Everything was better than most airlines and the price was right. I think they are a cut above the rest.
