Our 2 hr layover in Denver became exciting when tornado sirens sounded about 1 hr into the wait. Planes were stopped from boarding/deboarding - passengers caught on planes. We were sent to the shelters aka bathrooms. Luggage was left on the tarmac because of lightening strikes - we could see ours being rained on. Then when we finally arrived in Seattle, our luggage reeked of dead fish!! We had seen the boxes setting on the cart with the luggage in Denver. Southwest was very helpful in giving us new luggage on the spot (midnight) but the inconvenience was tough - dumping all our clothes in the airport baggage area (packed for a 2 week Alaska cruise) and our luggage was brand new! First trip out of OKC!
