“Typical AirTran”

Kind of a ho-hum, get on, get off the bus type of experience. We paid a premium for business class to Atlanta and wouldn't bother again. The price to upgrade from Atlanta to Phoenix was prohibitive. The service was adequate not exceptional. We were delayed from Phoenix to Atlanta and then again from Atlanta to Milwaukee and arrived home at 3 a.m. But beggars can't be choosers: we flew on a coupon given to us as a result of AirTran's poor handling of a flight last year from LaGuardia to Milwaukee. We don't go out of our way to fly AirTran.

Southwest's "cattle call" system of loading the plane threw me for a loop at first, but since I travel alone, I am not worried about 2 seats together, and it's only a few hours of your life. Now that I understand the concept, I like Southwest - particularly the 2 bag, no charge policy. I was really tired of EVERY person carrying on EVERY belonging and thinking it was okay to ignore the carry-on rules, to save money. I WILL fly Soutwest again.

We left MKE on time, service was great, arrived in PHX on time, actually a little early. Pilot kept us aware of all things, ie: flight time, weather, service and landing time. Flight home was on time, arrived on time, service was great, I had a considerate seat partner. All in all, it was the Midwest that I have grown to love over the years with a few changes!

Milwaukee Airport is so much easier to get to and maneuver than O'Hare. The parking is much more economical too. Midwest is a no frills airline, but I was happy with the service overall.

“Good flight but question the value of Early Boarding”

Have made a complaint about the Early Boarding system. Purchased tickets in March and had a very high "A" boarding number. Received a very prompt response from Southwest offering a vanilla explanation but no real insight about the issue. It looks like the popularity of EB diminishes it's value. Perhaps the next step is assigned seating!
