6-1/2 hours in seat too close to the one in front, even in "premium" coach section. A bulkhead behind the seat prevented reclining more than a tiny bit.

American has terrible leg room for anyone who is remotely tall. The one saving factor was we somehow wound up with the one and only empty seat on the entire flight in our row, so we could spread out with our 6 month old.

I recently flew overnight from Lima to the US. This web page does not seem to allow me to put in LIMA, so I put the connection city to San Francisco into the mix. I need a cpap machine for sleep apnea if I am to sleep. I had my travel agent set up a special seat with a special plug designed for this. I got on the plane and the flight person told me when I mentioned that I had arranged for this and did not see it that, "We switched planes". So, that was it. She was cold, apathetic and could not have cared less or reacted less to my medical need.

American dropped the ball, the flight crew dropped it too. I never got a plug in, nor any sleep. I will not consider taking American first as my airline, but only if it is the only one that has the schedule, etc. that I need. I wrote AMERICAN airlines a complaint letter and no one bothered to answer it. They obviously do not care.
