I flew Delta non-stop from Miami on January 20. When we arrived in Atlanta there was no gate for the plane to park, so we sat on the plane over 30 minutes until a gate became available. On the way home 3 days later, our flight was delayed 1.5 hours, as were many of the surrounding gate flights. There were several excuses as to the delays such as there was a power outage is terminal B (I was in terminal A) or "as soon as the flight attendants arrive, we will begin to board the plane." This Atlanta hub is horrible.

We were scheduled to depart MIA at 0745 but delayed due to lack of blue fluid in the lav which had to be serviced. Delta can't discover this prior to the passengers boarding? Delta is definitely not ready when you are as they used to advertise!
We finally took off at 0816 and landed ATL at 0946 on the far south runway, 3 minutes early. After crossing runways we sat on a taxiway due south of the tower with four or five other aircraft for approximately 25 minutes and did not arrive at gate A10 until 10:28am. This was an absurd 42 minutes from runway to gate!
We did not get off aircraft until 10:35am. We had to take the train from Concourse A to Concourse E to make the once daily A330 nonstop to HNL and we arrived at the E gate at 10:50am only to see the aircraft being pushed back. This was the first time in a week that the aircraft pushed back on time; most days it was after 11am. We were then directed to a missed connection counter where they booked us on a flight to LAX at 2:50pm (4 hours later) and connected us to another flight to HNL. We arrived at HNL at 8:50pm, 6 hours and 20 minutes later than scheduled. Other passengers also missed the HNL non-stop but Delta didn't care because they had overbooked the flight and filled the seats.
I will never fly Delta again and if forced to fly them I will make sure I have at least 2 hours connection time at ATL and not just one hour. Delta is completely inept and incompetent at trying to manage a hub operation at ATL that has become too large to work properly.

Great flight - smoothe and on time. No complaints. Pilot was great at keeping us informed. I'm 6 feet tall and was perfectly comfortable

I booked a flight to Georgia on American Airlines, but when we got to the gate the flight was changed to American Eagle which is a very tiny plane with 1 seat on the left and 2 seats on the right side. The air did not work on the American Eagle flight. Fortuneately on the return trip we were back on a normal size AA plane.

The flight was ok. Awful that for a flight over 3 hours you have to spend a small fortune for a little bit of food. The reading of the menu and prices is so impersonal and the prices are exhorbitant. Not that the other airlines are different...just makes flying ....well....not so enjoyable. Couldn't drive to Barbados, however. On driving trips, you can always find a nice restaurant. The Miami airport is a dump and the service from start to finish is deplorable. Customs is a mess. There should be seperate lines for folks returning from places like Cuba, who apparently have to go through special checks.

Late leaving, late arriving Atl. No gate available for 45 Min.Finally got off plane missed connection to BHM got on next flight which loaded 1 hour late,sat on plane at gate waiting for pilots who couldn't find a gate.
Will do whatever it takes to avoid Delta and Atlanta.
