    “Not honoring Frequent Flyer Mileage/Eva Air/ CheapOair”

    Flight itself was pleasant but the airline"EVA Air" would not honor the frequently flyer mileage which was approximately 16 000 miles. The ticket was purchased through CheapOair, which I would not recommend as they implied the tickets qualified for frequent flyer mileage. Upon my return the airline said I was not entitled to mileage as I was not flying K,C or Q class however my boarding passes indicated that I was in C and K class. The airline and the travel agency said that was seating class and not my booking class and consequently would not honor the mileage. CheapOair said it is the purchasers responsibility to contact the airline before purchasing a ticket from them to insure it did qualify for mileage. No where in any of the documentation CheapOair sent me did it suggest of mention that the tickets I was purchasing may not qualify for freqent flyer mileage. In trying to deal with them they were extremely rude,short and very unprofessional. I will never and would never recommend that agency again as they do not understand the concept of " full discloser"

    “Worst Flight Ever”

    Made seat assignment/selection and special meal request months ahead on the phone with the LAX office, upon arrival for flight the check in counter wasn't aware of either. In-flight service between LAX and Can was the worst service in my 40 years of flying, the cabin crew didn't want to be bothered on 14 hour plus flight. Special meal request never made it to the flight after making it on the phone months ahead and at the counter upon check in. If traveling on China Southern Airlines consider special diet requirements as a factor that the carrier will FAIL on. And if seat selection is important FORGET IT. Recommend you stay away from China Southern Airlines if these two factors are important.

    Couldn't have been better for a 12 hour flight to HK and 2 hour flight on to Manila. Would do it again anytime...

    Very good customer service, quick e-mail response turnaround. Advance seat selections accommodated, but equipment changes voided selections. New assignments satisfactory nonetheless. Meals surprisingly good outbound, so-so inbound. Comfortable seats and roomy.
