It just so happened that Singapore Air was doing a "practice drill" during my check in at LAX. In case of computer failure, they wanted to be ready - so all check ins were done by handwritten notes and tickets, no computers used at all! Took forever!!!
Other than that, the trip was smooth sailing. Gorgeous and polite stewardesses were extremely attentive. Food was great. Seats were wonderful. In-flight entertainment was also top-notch. I'd recommend this airline to anyone flying to Asia.

I must admit, China Air has it together, boarding people quickly on such a large plane n departing on time. The crew was very friendly & helpful. The flight itself was without incident. Upon arriving in Taiwan, the China Air staff was instrumental in getting everyone to their next departure terminal. Over all, I will definitely take China Air again to the Far East.

Flying Singapore Airlines reminded us that "service" still exists when flying. We have had good service on other foreign airlines, but this was the best. Very, very polite and friendly cabin crew with non-stop smiles and offers of drinks and food - in Economy class! We will not fly on U.S. airlines anymore, if we can help it. Makes you wonder why U.S. airlines do not offer "service", such as politeness, friendlyness, helpfulness, smiles, and food galore...
