After years of AA being the only option for a non-stop flight to DFW, I was delighted to try out Virgin America. Clean planes, personal tv, friendlier staff and crew. Though VA don't have as many flights as AA, they will still be my first choice.

Flights were on time each way and no baggage was lost so good marks there. If you are over 6' tall and do not fly 1st Class, have bulk head seating or wexit aisle seating, be ready to have your knees in your face the entire trip. Fortunately, the man in front of me was understanding and did not recline his seat. Tightest seating space of any airline I have flown. What in flight service? The Flight Attendants made 1 quick trip with the refreshment cart and disappeared until it was time to "prepare for landing". Ok, Ok, no quips about the old days of attractive attendants...!

The seats are way to small and there is not enough leg room. Would not travel on a 737 again.

Flight was great. Attendants were kind. I wish people would put their bags in the overhead correctly to make the boarding faster. And i wish the Attendants payed more attention to this problem.

I bought my ticket online 2 months before my flight departure. I got a call 2 DAYS before my flight telling me that American Airlines had CANCELED my flight and re-booked me on another flight that was due to get into DFW at almost midnight. They didn't bother to ask me, they were just telling me. I called to have them book me on an earlier flight (which they did) and also called to make sure I could get a window seat because I get pretty bad motion sickness. The call was fine, the woman said that I was confirmed on a window seat, and everything was great. I called the day before my flight to "Check-In", and the seat assignment said "Unassigned". So I called the airline again to see what happened. Long story short, they said "Sorry, there is nothing we can do, you have to speak with a desk clerk at the airport." So I went to the desk clerk at the airport and she said she couldn't help me and that I had to speak with the person at the gate. I finally got the the woman at the gate and SHE said "Sorry, there is nothing I can do. You should have reserved a seat online." I told her that I DID reserve a seat with an agent over the phone and she just looked at me like "What do you want me to do about it?" Major attitude. Right off the bat, she gave me the raised eyebrows, head swiveling, condescending tone... the works. I thought she was kidding at first because it was so bad. And of course she was the only one working the desk because Pres. Obama was flying out of LAX right then, so there was no one else to speak with because the airport was having to beef up security. I came back 20 minutes before boarding as she suggested, and she said, "Look, I already told you there were no seats available. If you get too sick to fly if you don't have a window seat, then I have to put you on another flight. Is that what you are telling me? You want to be put on another flight?!" I was speechless. I just walked away. I had to take my chances that the person sitting in my isle would switch with me at least for take off and landing - I was lucky. But I can't get over how absolutely venomous this woman was, and completely unprovoked. OH!!! AND this same woman pulled me out of the line as I was boarding and said "Your bag looks too big, we need to make sure it fits. Put it in the box." I said "You're kidding", but did what she asked so I could get on the plane. The back plastic part got hooked on the side, but all I had to do was break it free and the suitcase would have fallen in with no problem. She stopped me immediately and said that I had to check my bag because it wouldn't fit and that I couldn't push it in... that it had to slide in by itself. She gave me no chance to free that plastic piece. She pulled my bag out and just took it. I didn't even know if it would get to my destination or if it would just disappear because of her! I was so shaken by this woman and her blatant mean spirit. I was practically in tears. It was a horrible experience to say the least.

Flight was a little bumpy and left an hour late; other than that everything was good. The seat was what I expected and my flight back was on time and everything went well.

Checking in and out was fast and efficient both at lax and DFW. Crew on board was average. One cannot expect much due to so much cost cutting.
