With all the complaining that goes on with the airlines, I have to say that this particular trip went as smooth as can be. I had no delays, arrived early and was very happy with the entire trip. I shared the flights with United and US Air respectively. I hope all my future flights go like this!

After checking with Delta direct and AARP Experian, the best price was from airfarewatchdog.

The flight back from PIT to Las Vegas was delayed due to bad weather for the incoming plane. All in all a good experience.

Southwest needs to think of the FUTURE

Now that Southwest has captured the majority of travelers due to their NO fees policies that we all enjoy and believe in; they need to purchase MORE planes, etc; as traveling that airlines is becoming very difficult because they are always FULL to the brim, no where to place your carry-ons in the overhead comparments, every nook and cranny of the plane is full and barely enough space to sit in the seat and I only weigh 114 lbs - ENOUGH. I fly a great deal of the time, and prefer Southwest, however, they have grown by leaps and bounds and need to think of the future and begin adding more flights to and from certain cities because they are just TOO crowded. It takes so long to board, have people stow their belongings, and then empty - they must be flying 95% capacity at all times and that is when they should be thankful and expanding and NOT continuing to fly us sardines (customers) in such a fashion. Reward us for our loyalty! I will NEVER fly UsAirways again - as that whole crew needs to go back to school and learn their federal regulations. They insisted that I stow my SERVICE DOG under the seat ahead of me, and actually called an Air Marshall on me when I refused. The Air Marshall ended up scolding the Airlines instead of me and the people on the plane applauded. The companies that have been around the longest need to be turned upside down and shaken and have the old blood and beliefs all fall out and then shake it off and start again; they DO NOT have the right to decide what people can wear on their plane (as long as it is legal); they CANNOT insist that a disabled person STOW their service animal like it was a laptop computer, etc - BACK TO SCHOOL and learn the regulations. We are required to read the regulations and agree to them prior to purchasing a ticket and I would think that those that are operating the airlines should ALSO know those rules and be held accountable to know them for the best care of the public.

Since Southwest is SO popular should they NOT think in advance

and begin expanding their services to certain cities so that NOT all the flights I take with Southwest are packed to the gills. They have the best prices most times and don't nickel and dime you every time you turn your back; so they have been rewarded by the human population. But - on the downside of that - is us HUMANS are now squeezed in like commodities filling absolutely every seat leaving not an inch of extra space in overhead compartments, utiizing the max. air circulating in the cabin, etc. I travel with TWO small service dogs and Southwest is by far the best, and although they still hassle (as EVERY airlines does DESPITE the FEDERAL LAWS in place); I always find myself educating at least 3 employees every flight; which is far better than battling with USAirways which I refuse to fly anymore due to overall employee ignorance of service animals and the entire WORK force needs to go back to school and learn about the Federal Laws governing a service dog - would you ask a blind person to stow their dog under the seat in front of them? No joke - USAirways demanded that I do such and I refused and an Air Marshall met me at the gate when we landed and guess who walked away while THEY were scolded - ME! But why go through this hassle everytime. I like Southwest the best, but they need to plan for continued growth and realize that there is NO MORE space on any plane and consumers are being squished. Eventually that may backfire on them and I would hate for that to happen - just think ahead and accomodate and grow with the company and the people paying for the tickets.
