Always an interesting mix of people coming and going, throw in the ever versatile TSA group, staged "alerts" in the terminal at midnight with a flight delay already one hr old, nothing open for snacks except the usual news stands. Then watch the travelers try every which way to push their suitcase into a crowded overhead when an empty one is three feet to the left, wheels facing out and the leather jacket stuffed on top....person sitting in your reserved seat and acts annoyed because, "Yes, I would like to sit there" is the answer to their question. Headphones blasting when the lights are turned down and it is finally quiet but that makes up for the non movie flight which used to take the edge off the delayed hour. Sometimes the carpet and front pocket have been cleaned out, more likely not but then you never know what you might find!!! A clean blanket and pillow on this flight was so astonishing I almost didn't try it. Flight attendants are usually very nice and patient, even when the family with 4 children don't get to sit together and one of them is consulting with Mom/Dad every 3 minutes. When the temperature is not freezing, it is a relief to sleep the time away and pray there is a spare jetway with people to man it when your gate has been suddenly changed to the one most remote from baggage claim. It sure beats driving!
