Flight was good although the plane was full. The extra charge to be in the first boarding group seemed to help although I believe I was at the airport in plenty of time to be in the first group anyway. By paying the extra $10 I was given number A33 which was an addition to the first group of 1 - 30, so I just jumped to the beginning of the second group. This occurred on both legs of the round trip, In order to be in the first half of the first group I would have to pay another fee even if I were the first person to check in for my flight. Bags were free though.

We had a very nice flight, but I wish Southwest would assign seats. The extra cost to be at the front of the line is not pleasant. If you have to change planes, it can add $40 to the cost of a trip. For 2 people that is $80. This is just like charging for your bags. For our next trip, I avoided SW because it would require changing planes and would add $80 to our trip. *We are very averse to sitting in the back of the plane and not sitting together. If you don't pay for the front, you can end up way back.
