Love the non stop...but all the fees... If you dont pay for those seats its sort of like a grab bag. They make to big production out of it. When you finally get to the Z group of people it goes by 1-10 1-20 1-30 1-40 -1-50 1-60...well even if you get there early you could be last on... we were 2 out of the last 3 on the plane... good luck with the carry on...

The pilot was very nice & friendly while he was the last on the plane. The head stewardess needed to learn proper etiquette. Everyone in the first few rows can hear everything that she was saying.

Just is not like the old days. Know you need to be patient and accept it. :)

On the way from Grand Rapids to Las Vegas we HAD TO STOP IN WICHTA FOR FUEL. what the??? Never ever had that happen before on a straight flight from GRR to LAS. It's only 2,000 miles.

Flight home was delayed because of weather. Had to stay the night. Not fun either, but no fault of Allegiant.

Our first flight with Allegiant was excellent in all respects (and would have given them 5 paws-up in all categories except In-Flight Service) but for all the extra fees: all baggage but carry-on, and reserving exit row seats. Having said that, it was a very good experience. Having begrudgingly paid the fee for exit row seats, we were glad we did - very roomy for the 4 hour trip to Las Vegas!

Flight attendents did their job well but they were not quite as friendly as others we experienced.

Obvioiusly, if there were another carrier going to our next destination and ticket price was comparable without baggage fees, we would most assuredly choose them. Only Allegiant going your way? We'd recommend their service.

Our flight out went fine, we paid $15 each person each way for Exit Row seats....no free anything.

Coming back we had continually delayed (for up to 3 hours) due to computer problem. We finally boarded after being told everything checked out fine. We never took off as the pilot told us on the runway that "the computers were still not talking to each other." All 150 passengers got off and waited for about another 40 minutes before boarding another plane. The only thing we got for our trouble and delay was a cup pour (not a full can, mind you) of any soda or juice we wanted! At the end of the return trip they said "thank you for you patience and please give them another chance to do better next time." I think a voucher of some monetary amount was in order.

The best part of this flight was the great flight attendants, who were personable and efficient. The plane appeared to be older, seats did not recline at all & were sloped forward making them even more uncomfortable.

While we like the non-stop option, we are TOTALLY annoyed by all the hidden fees ($50 for 1 bag, $15 to be assigned a seat, $10 to board early enough to have a good chance of having room for your carry on...otherwise there is ANOTHER $35 fee to put it in the cargo hold, segment fee and on & on it goes.)

WAKE UP AIRLINES! We are not stupid! Quote us a fare & be up front about the true cost.

We even arrived early coming home. However, baggage took quite awhile to arrive. We only had carryons but by the time we boarded there was not enough room in the overhead compartments so they had to check our bags.

The crew was efficient, professional and also great fun. Flight left early which was great. The seats were not that comfortable (but tolerable) and it was difficult to hear the pilot over the speaker system. I'd fly Allegiant again.

What Allegiant does, it does well. There are no frills, and the MD80/85 they use are not the most comfortable planes, (It's tight). However it is hard to beat a nonstop flight at their price. Of course you could pay to pick your seat, board first, get a snack, or check bags and price is comparable to others but they always have stops. My vacation starts when I get to my destination, so I just want to get there the quickest.

Interesting trip. The $240 fare that Allegiant published turned into $295 after taxes, paying an additional $12.00 for a seat and $3.50 for the "segment fee". They also wanted $10 for Priority boarding so that we would have a better chance of finding room for our carry-on. Otherwise they hook you $35.00 to check the bag if they run out of room. Allegiant also charges you a higher fee (above the $49.99 you pay for 1 bag, round trip) to check a bag at the airport if you do not prepay at booking. I hate this because it does not allow for unexpected extra stuff coming back after your vacation. We had to pass on some freebies we won in Vegas, since it didn't seem worth it to pay the ridiculous fee for the return flight to get them home. The crew was great, pilot kept us updated on the our progress, but our return flight was on a plane that I suspect is pretty old. Seats did not recline & sloped forward. If this were not a non-stop way of getting to Vegas, we would not consider flying Allegiant again.

While our flight out of Dallas on American was delayed for 2 1/2 hours, this is seemingly the norm as of late. But that is not what I'm writing about. Since we arrived almost 4 hours ahead of our connecting flight from Dallas into Vegas, I checked to see if there were empty seats on an earlier flight. The good news is that there were seats for us, the bad news - it would cost us $50 to go on the earlier flight. Apparently they would rather fly with empty seats than allow us to get to Vegas earlier.

But that was not the end of the ever appearing fees they want from you. When checking in at the kiosk in Vegas to fly back home, I was assigned Group 4 for boarding, but was offered an 'upgrade' into Group 1 boarding for $9 dollars. I declined.

Allegiant Air has some really good deals if you watch for them and snag them immediately. You do need to watch for the "bait and switch" which is where they show one price on their calendar and then charge another, slightly higher one, if there are no more seats available at the lower price. Return flight had incredible leg room. All in all, inexpensive if you keep watch, friendly staff but have to purchase drinks and snacks so take your own.
