Left Edmonton with 4 bags, got to Calgary with 3 bags and had to go through customs without it. Customs forewarned us that we may not even see the bag in CA as they normally don't send luggage without the owner taking it through. Said they would send it back to our home address if necessary. Got to LA on time but less yet another bag! Therefore only having 2 pieces of luggage for a family of 4. Air Canada attendant could have cared less that we were missing our bags and said that IF they found them they would deliver them to our hotel. The other couple flying with us was missing their car seat for their 2 yr. old and thus could not even leave the airport, again, the agent really didn't care and acted as though it was his problem not hers. Our stay was for 4 days and ended up getting our bags delivered on day 3. Upon leaving LA with 4 bags and flying to Vancouver to make a connection to Edmonton the flight was on time but the luggage coming from the carousal was not. We needed to go through customs and catch our connection yet the luggage was not coming to the carousal. In the meantime we had Air Canada personnel constantly yelling at us to hurry up or we would miss our connection. Luckily for us, there were about 5 families in the same situation. The Vancouver airport does not have adiquit signage therefore once our bags did come up the turnstyle, we had NO idea where to go to get to customs and noone around to help. Finally made it to customs with very cranky staff blaming us for the delay. We rushed as quickly as my sons legs could carry them only to be confronted by more cranky airline staff telling us that we need to hurry to catch our flight as they have held the flight for us because WE were running so late!! Needless to say, the people on the flight were cranky due to the flight being delayed and cranky stewardesses for the same reason. At least we ended up with all of our bags in Edmonton. This was the 5th time Air Canada has lost our baggage. Needlesss to say, our next flight has been booked through West Jet. I would pay more per flight than give Air Canada my money again!
