We weren't used to the electronic check in. The gal at the counter noticed we were taking a bit of time and came right over and helped us. She didn't even make us feel like idiots.

Flying from Denver to JFK was much more pleasant than the flight back, partly due to an unanticipated landing in Omaha to refuel. This turned into staying grounded for awhile because tornados in Colorado. However, flight staff were friendly, and I enjoyed the satellite TV. Check-in at JFK at the Delta Terminal was organized chaos...

If United (or any airline) would offer non-reclining seats, I'd probably buy those tickets in an instant. I rarely recline, but it always seems like the guy in front of me reclines at the earliest opportunity, then keeps it reclined the whole flight (even when not sitting in the seat). On the flight to JFK, he even kept it reclined throughout the landing (the flight attendent told him to move the seatback, but she moved on after telling him, so he ignored her since she never came back). Sadly, I get these types of flights more often than not.
