Had a lot of trouble using a voucher. Made an initial reservation and then I was called back after I mailed in the voucher and they said I didn't have a reservation and spent another hour on the phone with them getting a new one even though I had my confirmation #. By this time I wasn't able for some reason to get my original flight and my new itinerary then included a layover which was inconvenient. Aside from the reservation, the flight experience was decent.

It was a connecting flight. I was coming from Europe on Lufthansa, which was excellent. In Chicago, after boarding United flight, we got to the runway and got stuck. There was a 'weather condition' somewhere. United kept us in the plane, on the runway for 4 hours. The only food offered was a very small package of salty pretzels. There was also no food during the 4 hour flight to SFO. My luggage did not get loaded correctly. It arrived later on a different flight. Overall: excruciating experience.

Easy flight to take without any connections. The seat wasn't the most comfortable in the world, but it could've been worse. Overall, an enjoyable experience with very nice customer service.

Flight left 3 hours late due to mechanical problems - 27 people on board missed connections to Honolulu. Not only was nobody at the gate at SFO to help but people in Customer Service were exceedingly rude and snippy. As a bonus, in flight movie did not work. (In fairness to United, they did offer a $150 voucher as compensation). Personally, I'd rather have helpful customer service people.

Not much more to ask for - great price on a flight that departed and arrived on time. It'd be nice to have a little more leg room. I'm only 5'6", but my knees were aching when I got off the plane.

This was a round trip from Chicago ORD to San Fran. Everything about the flight was smooth. Both flights were on time and everything was pretty ordinary. The flight was full so it was a little cramped, but my friend and I had no problems finding space for our duffle bags. There was onboard entertainment of a movie and some tv shows which was nice.

An almost-on-time departure, and an on-time arrival, with no great difficulties in between, made this as good a flight as is possible in cramped economy class.

I was upgraded to first class. The food and service were good, but the worst part was when the captain came on the PA to tell us because of crowded airspace due to early morning fog,and our lack of extra fuel, we would have to divert to Oakland. The sound of despair was heard round the plane. Just as we'd reconciled ourselves to an at least two hour delay -- the best part of the flight occurred -- the captain again took the mike to say they'd found an opening and we'd soon be landing at SFO. A cheer was heard throughout the plane. Thanks United and thanks Air Traffic Control!

My daughter & I flew to San Fran enroute to Hawaii & as a special treat I opted to 1st class tickets. The FA we had on our ORD-SFO flight was the WORST ever. She didnt want to hang up our coats (although she did for other 1st class passengers), she bumped into me at least 6x without ever apologizing, and she even stuck her butt in my face when she bent over to chat w/the passenger across the aisle from me. When we landed at SFO I had to ask for my coat back. When she returned it, she dragged my coat across my lap and then over my head as she continued walking to the back. I looked like a fool with my coat over my head/face. When we deplaned I told her she was a horrible FA and a real A-hole and fortunately for me another passenger (who'd seen everything) agreed with me. I love United but it's personnel are hit and miss -- and when they miss, they are HORRIBLE.
