I was on crutches due to a severe ankle injury i had suffered only 4 days earlier. As I was boarding, one of the 2 flight attendants looked straight at me as I struggled then turned her back to me & ignored me; the other one was busy flirting with the pilots in the cockpit (I heard them, so I know it was flirting & not business talk). As I seated myself, NEITHER attendant offered to stow my crutches; I had to ask a fellow passenger to do it for me. During the 2 hr flight, even though beverage service was announced for the entire cabin, it was given only to first class. for the rest of the flight, one attendant hid behind the forward bulkhead & did not move, The other attendant parked the beverage cart in the forward part of the cabin & sat behind it, sipping OJ & playing with her iPod. They both ignored the passengers for the entire flight. After we landed, neither attendant offered to get my crutches for me; again, I had to depend on the kindness of a fellow passenger. I did not expect them to be at my beck & call, but BASIC service (like helping a disabled passenger to her seat) is not too much to ask. I also serve the public in my job & would be severely reprimanded (if not fired) if I had acted that way.
