Basically the flight wasn't bad the day after cancellation due to the rain storm in California

However it is difficult to reschedule a flight again when you haven't flown for 15 years.

It was my first flight after the death of my husband .It turned out alright so I guess that was good.

I wish you had more assistance for a cancelledflight.

This flight is not operated directly by US Airways, but by Mesa Airways, operating as US Airways Express. They don't fly Boeing 737's, as does Southwest; they fly CRJ 900 Regional Jets. There is little overhead space; most has to be loaded into the hold from the jetway. Two seats on each side of the aisle, and the seats are both narrower than those found on larger jets, they have almost no cushioning. The result is that one is sitting on cloth covering tubular seat frames. Unless is very narrow of beam, there is no seating on the alleged cushioning. The aisles are so narrow I don't think one of those chairs with wheels on the back used to bring a handicapped individual in and out of a plane would fit in those aisles.

In many ways, this flight, whether on US Airways Express or Southwest, is a shuttle flight, with scheduled flight time being 1:15 on Southwest and 1:25 on Mesa/US Airways Express. The Flight Attendants do their very best to be helpful and to provide a snack, but these airplanes make even their job a problem. The toilet is in the back, and if the food cart is between you and the toilet, you're stuck. Mesa/US Airways Express might do themselves and their passengers a favor by forgetting having a food cart on this flight at all.

The price is the same as that of Southwest, with the difference that you have to pay a fee for a checked bag on US Airways, and not on Southwest. Unless one is so heavy that one has to pay the second seat fare they charge for grossly obese passengers, Southwest is a better bet.
