Got through security very quickly thanks to the fact that AirTran has its own tiny security check for its handful of terminals in Boston Logan. My flight was delayed and I wasn't going to be able to make my connection, but I showed up a couple of hours early and a gate attendant quickly got me a seat on an earlier flight out that had already begun boarding. I was already impressed by this point, but when I eventually boarded my connecting flight from Baltimore, the pilot delayed our take-off by a few minutes so that those who hadn't been as lucky as me and had taken my original, delayed flight out of Boston could make their connection. The courtesy and helpfulness of all the AirTran staff I encountered was a very pleasant surprise!

I was sandwiched between two people who kept me immobile from shoulder to knee. It smelled like dirty diapers and was full of screaming children. don't parents have any knowledge of ins and outs of flying with children. The landing was hard and abrubt enough to elicit some stifled screams.

I normally do this route on U.S. Airways but once in a while get alerts about a much cheaper Jet Blue option and flying Jet Blue is a much better experience. There doesn't seem to be overbooking on these flights so everyone gets on the plane fast and there are no delays due to overcrowding, etc. I had already booked 3 more flights to CLT to see my boyfriend in the next few months.

Roundtrip from Boston to Charlotte on a Tuesday in June was $139 with taxes and fees. Free snacks and drinks are great. Lots of TV channels and the XM radio is a big plus too. (Bring your own head phones.) I had to change my flight time on the day of the flight and it cost $40. Still, not bad. I wouldn't say that the flight attendants I met were quite as friendly as people have said, but they were still nice. Great, short trip! We arrived almost a half hour early in Charlotte!
