Flight cancelled for mechanical problems, over 100 people line up at one desk for assistance. Where is the US Airways staff when you need them? Later I was told to call the toll-free number. The man I talked to didn't know what to do about this situation. Another passanger overheard the converstation and told us the replacement aircraft would not be flying to Portland (US Airways employee did not bother giving me this information). Booked a flight with another carrier. Found a US Airways agent to tranfer my checked luggage to the other carrier. No luggage when I arrive at Portland. US Airways had 2 hours to transfer my luggage, but it arrived in Portland about 6 hours later. Now I'm trying to get my $29 refunded for a reserved seat, but contact information is hard to locate. Biggest Complaint - NOT ENOUGH STAFFING TO HELP OVER 100 PASSENGERS AT THE GATE.

Was booked on a non-stop from ATL to PDX at 4:30p. At 4p passengers were told the plane was coming from the hanger so we'd be a little late in boarding (in fact, it never arrived). Another plane pulled up and deposited passengers about 4:30p so we were told that boarding would start soon. At 4:45p a problem was found with the recently arrived plane so we were sent to another gate. At 5:15p it was announced that this was not the correct gate and we all needed to go to another gate. When we got to this 3rd gate, the wrong type of plane was parked there. At 5:30p we were told to go to a fourth gate for an aircraft that would be arriving shortly. It did arrive about 5:45p and at 6p we started to board. Because this aircraft was not the same configuration as originally planned, many of us were given new seat assignments and that included me losing my exit seat. At 6:30p we finally departed with a lot of unhappy travelers.

Departure and arrival was right on but the temperature in the cabin was too high on the last leg of the trip.

I always dread those long flights to Portland from Atlanta, but this was easy! Boarding was quick, and the friendly flight attendants helped anyone that couldn't find room in the overhead storage, and everything was pretty much on time. Plenty of room between seats, it would have been nice to recline just a little more. But hey, what do I expect from coach? My complaint - ticket prices keep going up and I am offered a glass of soda. How about at least a little snack or cocktail that doesn't cost $7-$8?? Overall, comfortable the whole trip.

Flight attendants were not helpful. I had some garbage on my tray and they never came and got it. We had a 5 hr flight and there were no option to purchase a DVD player for our use. The take off and landing of the airflight was slightly rough. My daughter's ears popped. The seats were pretty good but the leg room was less to be desired.

The flight was smooth, the staff friendly and accomodating. My only complaint is that there are way too many announcements, especially at the beginning, when they are pushing items to be purchased. As all domestic flights, this one was packed, but that just seems par for the course these days. The Delta personel are more professional and curteous than AirTran or US Air.

Aircraft was delayed coming from Cancun, Mexico. Passengers deplaned, and aircraft was supposed to be "cleaned" and safety checks performed. When able to finally board, the plane was extremely dirty------no evidence of any cleaning. Previous flight's debris was everywhere. Seats and floors had many crumbs and flight tables were dirty/sticky from previous usage. Very distasteful. Addtitional take-off delay due to confusion with fueling supply. Delta needs a serious wake-up call!

Those of us who live in Atlanta, where the "dominant carrier" can't seem to get it together to run its flights on time, have learned to just lump it and smile and take it. But I flew Continental on a ATL/Iah/Pdx/Iah/Atl trip in late February. Wonder of wonders, all four flights were on time. They actually fed us food and didn't charge us for it. I was impressed. So, maybe you potential passengers should avoid that "triangle airline" and consider flying Continental where it's possible and practical.
