My overall experience was great. I recieved a great deal. The $9 fare is actually not bad as some say. I purchased the membership for $59.99 and I was able to get 3 round trip tickets from Atl to MSY for a total of $39.50 each= $178. I didn't have to pay for lugguage because we each brought our clothes in a 16x14x12 inch bag(the size of a large laptop bag or a large 1 strap book bag) this is considered a personal item fit perfectly under the seat.(pack light if you are only interested in the beach and touring) I didn't check-in online we waited until we arrived at each airport(-avoided purchasing a seat fee online) The agents at both airports were super nice. On both flights we had great seats and we all sat together. The flight is only an hour so there is no need for refreshments~you will be landing before you know it. I have no complaints and I will definitely flight Spirit again!

Our check-in, in-flight service and flight were great! I would heartily recommend Spirit to anyone. The only downside I see is the charge for checked baggage ($25 per bag). Other than that, a great experience.

First "the deal" you see advertised is paying for a spot on the plane, If you want your seat that is extra from $10 to $50 depending on where in the plane you want to sit. Checked in one bag twice due to this confusion. Spirit Airlines refused to give a refund on the error, they will only issue a "flight credit" Which I will never see as I will not use this airline again. During the flight, nothing is complimentary, not even water, and the flight attendants will not hesitate to tell you so, in an almost rude fashion. All in all this flight cost me almost $40 more than a direct Delta Flight. Stick with the major airlines, at least they are honest with thier charges and there is minimal misdirection.

    Online Check in- GREAT

Seats are TINY and there's hardly any extra room, and the flight was really bumpy, and we had delays. Weather was part of it going, but coming back we were just delayed like 30 minutes.
