My flight was basically ok; return seat was terrible as it was directly in front of the exit seats and thus seemed much more cramped and seat would not recline. I was unable to check-in online because Air Tran was doing site maintenance (on a Thursday mid-day????) and the reservation clerk at MSP was not helpful and bordered on rude when I inquired about upgrading to a different section for earlier boarding (I had paid the $5 fee from Atlanta and was able to board outside my seating assignment.) She informed me I could only do that online and when I mentioned that it wasn't possible to check-in online that day her response was a shrug of the shoulders.

I would like for ALL airlines to enforce the carry-on luggage rules; so many travelers are carrying on huge bags so they don't have to pay the checked baggage fee and there is never enough overhead space, which is inconvenient, frustrating and delays the flight while attendants try to accommodate everyone's luggage. Twice I have had to check my carry-on bag because there was no overhead space by the time I was able to board the plane.
