“Frustrated with departing plane!”

In our recent flight from Anchorage to Seattle the flight itself was good. The problem came when we landed. It took at least 10 minutes before the door was opened. We were toward the end of the plane so it took us 25-30 minutes before we exited the plane making us run like crazy since our next plane was already boarding. It just seemed ineptitude. With the charges being put on luggage, people stuff and stuff and stuff the overhead bins and thus it takes forever to load and unload. We never seem to have this problem with South West Airlines. Also, our flight from Fairbanks to Anchorage had a SCREAMING child the whole flight. I had my Ipod turned to the maximum but could not drown it out. There were no seats left to move to so I arrived in Anchorage with a migraine. What can be done to help screaming children????

Flights left on time, arrived on time, attendants were cheerful and pleasant and our luggage arrived within 2 minutes of approaching the runway.
On some of the Alaska Airline flights after 10000 feet you can log on to the Wifi, which is free right now.
You do lose connection when plane is too far from US coast however it will be soon improved, I am sure.
I live in Seattle and fly to somewhere often and I take Alaska-Horizon if at all possible>

The flight was early arriving to Seattle. Otherwise, we were on time for departure both ways and return trip to Anchorage.

Flight was OK because of the seat spacing between seats. I stand 6'3" and the airlines are trying to get as many people as it can by jamming them in. Other then that the meals being poor the flightowas OK.
