$9 fares on JetBlue via Twitter. Will tweets change the way fares are marketed?

George Hobica, July 06, 2009
Fares from Washington DC:

If you're super flexible and just want to fly for next to nothing, JetBlue has some deals for you, and they're marketing them through Twitter. Yet another way airlines are bypasing traditional online travel agencies and ATPCO.

And although, for example, the $9 fare from JFK to Nantucket is only one way on Saturday, you can combine with a return on Monday for $104, for a total of $129 RT including taxes on nonstop flights, which is an amazing deal.

Here's what you'll find via this link

Jet to hot destinations for super low fares, but hurry, seats are limited!

    Sale details:

    • Cheeps fares are only available for purchase on Mondays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. EDT or while seats last.
    • All Cheeps fares are oneway for travel on Saturday, July 11, 2009.
    • Seats are limited. Each flight only has 25 to 50 seats available at the super low fare advertised here, so hurry and book if you want one!
