Knowing Allegiants policy regarding seats and baggage we purchased all in advance plus a rental car as a package deal. Upon arrival noted bag was damaged and reported upon return flight. Rep advised should have reported within 24 hours. A few days later the Alamo rental car charged additional fees of over $115.00 for concessionaire fees, licensing etc. Beware of purchasing package deals as all fees may not be disclosed.

I love the convenience of this airline, and each of their flights have been excellent. BUT--the check-in experience at Mesa overshadows some of the high quality of this airline. The flight at Mesa leaves at 7, so one leaves the hotel in Phoenix at 5 to arrive within the time frame they have set (check-in closes 45 prior to the flight). Arriving 85 minutes early, the check-in line extends out the door of the building--multiple lines--some lines for flights headed to one place, some to another, however the minimal signage indicating where to stand is so far down the line, that it is possible to stand in the wrong line for 10 minutes or more, only to have to go to the end of the right line, starting over. Herds of people, awaiting their turn to check in, with no options for priority ticketing that were apparent. (The man behind me forfeited the seat he paid for because he was stuck in the line for so long!) Finally, 15 minutes prior to take-off, we got to security--no time to grab a cup of coffee to take on the plane. We walked out to the plane, and again waited in line outside for 5-7 minutes, apparently while handicapped people were seated. (IT was cold!) If the airline could only attend to a few amenities in the terminal the experience would be so much more pleasurable. Can't they afford good signage, that could be seen from the end of the line? couldn't there be even a portable coffee/beverage cart, so those who rushed to stand in line could get the cup of coffee they could NOT get on the plane? Couldn't they arrange for those paying for seating to get through the line more quickly so they would have a possibility of actually sitting in the seat they paid for? And on,and on, and on.

Tried to book a trip for a friend on Allegiant's website and couldn't get past the seat chart. Nothing worked. Called res for help who promptly told me it would be an extra $14.99 for me to book with them. I was told that nobody else was having that difficulty so the charge would stand. The evening before I was told they would waive the fee because they indeed were having trouble with the website. The agent told me to "use another browser" .... what??? Is that a scam or what....Never ever again, bad news! Be aware guys.

Last Sunday at 10 a.m. I went to the Bellingham Airport to purchase two sets of tickets to Las Vegas for May and June 2012. What a customer service nightmare! First of all - there were three customer service lines - none of them adequately marked to identify what role(s) they played - altho one line did have a SMALL sign identifying *one of the lines* as the "baggage drop-off, priority passenger" line - but it was between two lines - so no way to tell which lane it pertained to. So I got into the line that everyone else was in - and waited (fortunately only a few minutes) only to get to the front of the line - to be told that I was in the wrong line - and to go over to another line. I do as told. After standing in that line for about 10 minutes and seeing that the line wasn't moving (the only line being serviced was the line I just left), I went up and asked what was going on. The customer service rep simply told me "the clerk servicing your line is running late" (it was now 10:15 a.m. - and they were supposed to start selling tickets at 10:00 a.m.) Finally someone shows up at about 10:20 a.m. - never apoligized to those waiting - and it averages him 15 MINUTES per customer. All this time - there are THREE other agents - busy most of the time (but certainly NOT all the time) servicing arriving/boarding passengers). In the entire time I waited, ONLY ONE of the other customer service representatives helped a person buying tickets (it happened to be the same person that told me to go to the other line). I find it incredulous that, as a customer service organization, how they can stay in business with such a poor customer service model. Charging extra to purchase tickets online, and then CLEARLY showing that they also don't want to sell tickets at the airport (only open three days a week - for two hours in a day...and then only having a MINISCULE sign stating even those hours). Having four customer service representatives and only one selling tickets, etc. I completed the purchase of two tickets for Jun; but did not purchase the tickets for May - as the rates weren't competitive with Alaska Airlines - and I KNOW from experience that Alaska doesn't treat their passengers the way Allegiant does theirs - with absolutely NO respect. I know from the time spending in that line - along with about a dozen other customers - that their poor customer service model has cost them future customers.

Very upsetting. Booked car rental and when we got there, rental wanted another $101.00. Now Allegian has 24 hr. return policy, no phone number, if you don't have internet, you are screwed. Don't book rental car with them

This was my first flight on Allegiant, and I was favorably impressed with the value of their service. Departure was delayed on both legs of the flight. Boarding should have started much earlier because there were a dozen passengers in wheel chairs who needed to be pushed up the steep loading ramp and assisted to their seats. Open seating policy is comparable to a manic game of musical chairs. It is well worth the extra fees to have an assigned seat, avoid ticket counter check-in (if you don't have baggage to check) and have priority boarding status. It allowed me to go directly to security and the departure gate. On my next flight, I am only need to go to the airport an hour before the flight. I will definitely fly Allegiant again.

I arrived at check in 1.5 hours early in this small town airport. I had paid extra for priority boarding and seat assignment. Myself along with around 60 other passengers waited for nearly an hour for someone to come to check in counter. She arrived 25 minutes before scheduled departure. AND she was the only one. I FINALLY get to the gate and board the plane only to find that through no fault of my own I had lost my seat. AFTER calling and holding for more than an hour to express my feelings I was told that I have to write a letter to customer service to see if there is anything that can be done. It's not about the $25 dollars Allegiant stole from me, it's a simple matter of customer service! and guest satisfaction! Since I can't get a refund on this ticket and have to fly with them back, I assure you this will be my LAST flight with these idiots!

I've flown Allegiant from Shreveport to Las Vegas many times and have never had a problem. The check-in was fast and friendly, flights were on time and the attendants were upbeat and friendly. As long as Allegiant flys this route, I'll fly Allegiant.

I've never had a problem with Allegiant and I fly this route four times a year. However, I, too, noticed the lack of flights in October and queried them on same. I received no response at all. They have reduced their flights by half this fall and into 2012. Checking into some of their history, I found they can abruptly quit servicing a city at any time. So I guess I will just have to use their flights whenever I can as long as I can. It sure beats paying three times as much as well as having stops in Denver or Salt lake where you run like a mad man to catch the next flight out.

No frills and usually no thrills, just a basic inexpensive flight from Bellingham to Mesa. The seats don't recline and don't expect a pillow or blanket, but it's only a 3 hour flight so it works fine.

Between my family memebers and myself, this flight has not left on time for 8 flights! How frustrating! We have people in AZ waiting to pick us up and we get there so late (or in one case a day later) and this is just wrong. Fix your planes and get your passengers moving on to their destination ON TIME!

We live in Miami, FL and we own a log cabin near Gatlinburg, TN. All I can say is thank goodness for Allegiant Air! With 2 young kids and typically only a week of vacation, driving is out of the question. With Allegiant's prices, we are able to fly the family to our vacation home at least twice a year, always during peak season when kids are out of school, nonstop, typically for around $800. Before we discovered Allegiant, we were flying into Atlanta, renting a car, then driving another 5 hours, for MORE than Allegiant charges to fly directly to Knoxville, half an hour from our cabin. They're not always on time, but have never waited more than an hour. Don't expect any bells or whistles, but it's a great value to get from point A to point B, and with today's gas prices, Allegiant makes it silly to drive!

I would agree that the booking on Allegient is complicated. Too many ads. Also hope the offers of additional cities will continue. For instance, if we could do California right out of Redmond instead of Eugene. Also a direct back East to Rockford from Redmond. You and Southwest are our heros. Wouldn't it be great to see Southwest at the Bend Redmond airport!!! And a flight to Maui reasonably priced!!

Somehow Allegiant lost my luggage & they've yet to find it. It wasn't a small bag either. Their customer service is horrible. I will never fly with them again.
