I have 7 tickets scheduled for a departure later this month for my wedding. I needed to make some updates to a couple of my tickets and sat on hold waiting for a travel adviser for 1 hour and 28 minutes and counting now. I cannot imagine how a company can possibly view this as customer service. I cannot imagine what staffing may look like considering this unreasonable wait time. I am a reasonable and professional person, however, this lack of service deeply concerns me. I work in a customer service industry as a manager and feel that our students experience is of utmost importance. I will continue to hold until I have the opportunity to speak to an adviser; however, I cannot imagine choosing to travel with this airline ever again due to this experience.

Booked a return trip from Niagara falls NY to Orlando/Sanford FL with allegiant air because of the cheap ticket price. The total with seat selection and one checked bag and tax, return was $201.00. Wow can't beat that. Both flights took off on time, the seats were tight and do not recline but are mangeable for the 2.5hr flight. If it was a longer flight I would consider another airline for sure just because of the seats. The drink service was prompt and they came around twice for orders. The check in procedures were easy pessey, a piece of advise for anyone travelling out of Orlando/Sanford airport, their is baggage drop off outside the main terminal door at the ticket counter terminal, this will save you from standing in line at the ticket counter to be served. Would definitely fly with them again

we only fly allegiant air, they r the cheapest non stop from pa to fl . our whole family uses this airline, with my parents being elderly, you would think it to be a hassle for them to be provided with a wheel chair.not the case at all the staff is above and beyond courtious, friendly, respectful and i feel that they have always gone the distance and then some with a smile and wonderful attitude.they actually took my dad all the way to the car to make sure that all was well.

i only ever made one change to a reservation and again-extremely helpful and courtious. for the person that felt like she had a terrible experience, maybe she should have asked to speak to a supervisor and explain her situation,99% - she would have gotten the whole thing staightenend out and had a nice trip.also when booking your flight you are offered trip flex for changes,so maybe that could have prevented any problems .

good luck next time,i say give them another try,you just might be pleasently satisfied.no might be,you will be satisfied.

Paid for seating $14 extra per ticket My wife my granddaughter and myself

After a three hour delay going from Fort Lauderdale to Greenville South Carolina

someone was sitting in my seat. Flight attendant respectfully did ask passenger to

take another seat. On return trip one hour delay We were rushed on the plane.

Our seats were taken. When I confronted the flight attendant she said there’s no -

assigned seats being honored. Took a seat toward the back And I was asked to move

by the flight attendant Because she said if I have a kid on board even though I wasn’t

able to sit with my granddaughter that I could not set at a exit seat. So here’s the 411 -

we pay for three seats…. paid for checking two bags… Paid a next or $14 per seat to be able to sit together so that I can have my wife with our granddaughter. When the seatbelt signs went off I went to check on my wife and granddaughter to find my granddaughter who is two years old sitting on my wife’s lap without a seat… How’s that for customer service….

After reading many of the reviews I was nervous about my flight because I had never flown Allegiant. I have to say it was one of the best experiences I have had flying. The flight was on time and the seats were very comfortable. The flight crew was pleasant and professional. We had a slight delay out of Honolulu, but the gate people figured it out and we made up the lost time in the air. I would not hesitate flying with Allegiant again.

I am attempting to get some assistance with a change in my reservation. I have called the phone number for customer assistance (not toll-free) five times this afternoon. Each time it was answered with an automated message, “We are experiencing heavy calls at this time.” After referring me to the web site, the system ended the call.

I have attempted to modify the reservation about ten different times on the Allegiant web site. Each time has been unsuccessful, and at times I received a message that there was a network error. I have tried different web browsers, but I am not able to make a change.

As a last chance effort, I have driven to our local airport in the hope of speaking with an Allegiant employee and getting some assistance. No such luck. I was turned away with advice to just keep trying the web site and the telephone number. The employee advised me that they are not able to modify tickets at the airport, but they can only accept payments for carry-on bags and check in travelers.

This is my first trip with Allegiant Airlines. So far, I am not impressed with the total lack of customer service or the way it chooses to run its business. I have spent at least three hours trying to accomplish what should take me no more than 20 minutes. A network error has made the web site unavailable for this change for over 12 hours, and the customer service number is a joke. Allegiant is not providing sufficient access for its customers to receive the assistance they deserve.

If you fly Allegiant, don't book any kind of entertainment for the day you fly! Our flight was 5 1/2 hours late leaving Missoula. By the time we arrived in Oaklend, all the public transportation to San Francisco was closed. We took a very expensive cab from Oaklnad to San Fran. We also missed a play we had booked and paid for before leaving home. Had to eat that. We were told Allegianty may have been able to do something had we booked the performance with them. After further experiences with Allegiant, I doubt that would have made a difference. The people at check-in are cold; the people at service are even colder. And they will gouge you for everything. Pretty soon they will charge passengers if they actually wish to sit in the seats already booked!

Family member given last rites, had to get home asap. We tried for hours go get an agent on the phone, all the time trying the same online. When we got to #2 in the online line, we got a message "agent closed chat session". We decided to go to the airport St. Pete, waiting in line for 30 minutes to have the counter guy tell us there is nothing he can do for us. I had to call, or use the website, I told him I had been trying. He suggested we might just buy two new one way tickets to Grand Rapids, but he could not sell them until 5Pm. In total frustration we went back to hotel and tried both the online and telephone methods. Finally got an agent on the phone, She was very helpful, and polite. Sad it was a bit late and I could care less how nice she was, I had just spent 4 hours trying to take care of a situation that took the agent 5 minutes on the phone.

Right as we were about to leave for the airport, Allegiant called to cancel our flight. Options were to reschedule to the following day or get a full refund. There was no manager available to speak with and if we wanted to wait to make a decision we had to call back and wait on hold for at least 15 minutes. Incredible! There was not an option to put us on a different flight. Really there was no effort made to accommodate us at all. Can't figure out why they did not call us the night before to cancel. I even got an email the previous day to print my boarding passes. Really?

Used Allegiant to see grandkids in KY for years, since they put an unbelievable 2 hr non stop flight to Orlando in tiny city of Owensboro. Kids old enough to make flight alone now-but only on Allegiant. If not for this airline they would have to travel 2 hrs to the nearest airport and pay more for ticket. Just makes sense to fly Allegiant-nonstop 2 hr flights, faster, cheaper than driving.

Now they have a route from Youngstown to FL and now we're older,we can see our family in OH more often. 2 hrs nonstop vs 2 days driving with food and sleep stops. My husband will be able to make the family reunion this year because of Allegiant. He has a bad back and we cannot drive but Youngstown is only 30 min from the family farm. However, it takes us 2 hrs at least to get to the airport here so...

One request-please try to make Lakeland FL one of your stops soon! And don't ever leave us flying solo here, stay in business:)

Our family has been loyal customers since Allegiant has offered flights from MCO, (Orlando Sandford) to SBN, (South Bend, IN). We travel many x per year & have paid & or suggested that many friends & family fly this airline instead of coming in thru the Orlando airport w/ the larger airline. At first Allegiant was a great deal to be had, now...not so much. Being a small business owner during the time that our economy took a dive I realize that you can't break the bank & give everything away for free. However, enough is enough Allegiant. You are not nickel & diming your customers you out right robbing people. You have it in your head that your loyal customers will continue to pay these ridiculous fees just because you fly straight in to the smaller airports. Well you are wrong! You advertise low airfares but you never say anything about the "extra" add on fees. We are already looking for an alternative airline for our April & July travel plans. Your seating fees and baggage restrictions are horrible. We pay top dollar for these things, yet when we get on the airplane your attendance act like this is THEIR social hour. Many of them are out right rude! They act like we owe them instead of them realizing without us there w/b no need for them. Another thing, you are so cheap you don't even offer 24 hr. customer service. It's like getting thru Fort Knox trying to reach you people. Your excuse is... "We are experiencing high call volume". Why don't you tell the truth & say we are not open right now call back between the hrs. of 10am & 2pm., central x. How in the heck can you run your business like this? You try & make changes to your itinerary & you go online & they say you have no open itineraries when at present I have two. HELLO, where are they. I can't even make changes when I've paid the xtra fee in which to do so. I'm fed up with your lack of service & concern for the people who keep your planes in the air. You hot shots @ the top better get your heads together & do something about this, or you might find yourself out looking for another job! Come on stop taking advantage!

I purchased a flight for a family member and the day before he was supposed to board he hurt himself severely and was unable to make the flight. I called and then wrote to Allegiant upon request by their telephone representative and was told by the airline that the could not reimburse me at all or change the name of the passenger so that we could get use out of the money that was lost. We have purchased many, many travels with them as well as recommending all of our family and friends who have purchased many, many tickets with them and we have flights booked in the near future with them and they still refused to help us with this one issue. Poor decision making, no personability and word of mouth will surely work against this company. I will be canceling our future flights with them, losing what we will gain in cancel fees and using another means of transportation from now on. Word of mouth will certainly not work in their favor from our home any longer as well as our family and friends. Sadly, when you become greedy and stop caring about your customers and begin blaming it on "policy", you begin your decline as a reputable company and begin your descent to failure and eventual bankruptcy.

Clean, comfortable plan; super friendly flight attendants and extremely competent pilots! All of this and super reasonable airfare! Can't beat it with a stick! Flight attendant during baggage check in was extremely unfriendly. My wife and I had 2 bags that were 5 lbs. over the 40lb limit. The cost was an additional $50.00 each (we already paid the initial $50.00 fee) $100.00 per bag, when it weighs 45 lbs. is ridiculous. Our suit cases were not stuffed, we had enough clothes for our 2 weeks of vacation. Other's had carryon luggage that weighed more than 40lbs. Allegiant just keep adjusting your limits down, so you can charge these outrageous penalty fee's that way you can advertise low flight costs, and make up for it with other ridiculous fees. I'll never fly your airlines again until you revise this, and hopefully others will see this and have second thoughts as well. I realize I was over your limit, but your policy to charge an extra $50.00 for a bag weighing 41 lbs. or 99 lbs., again is ridiculous. Why not charge a buck or two for each pound over.

The front counter personnel are excellent. I dropped my husband off (had knee replacement surgery and can't stand for long period of time and needs extra time on the Jetway, so we get a wheelchair). Our flight was 30 minutes late leaving because the count was not correct. Once we landed we were delayed because the Stockton ground crew could not get the rear door open. Now I look on my bank statement and I have been charged an additional $70.00. NOT happy with Allegient.

I never have flown with this airline before but thought I would give Allegiant a try. Never again will I go through Allegiant to purchase a plane ticket. For one I had the most terrible customer service and I know what expectations are suppose to be met being that I'm majoring in Hospitality Management. I called to see about switching my flight, and let the lady know on the phone that I would have to get back to her being that the difference in air fare was a $200 difference. Then when I go to call back I found out she CANCELED my flight WITHOUT ME KNOWING, was CHARGED a $50 fee, $23 voucher when my ticket was originally $85, and left with NO PLANE FLIGHT to my destination. I do not recommend anyone to use their services due to their horrible customer service and will NOT be a returning loyal customer.
