For three years I've been flying AirTran but now that they are leaving DFW, The fares have doubled. My usual one-way DFW-ATL-RIC that I could get between $84-$124, will now cost me $193. Thanks Southwest, I'll never fly you (well, unless you decide to fly into Richmond, and then I'd have to make 3 stops)....

We were scheduled to fly out of Seattle on Thursday morning. When we got to the gate there was a sign saying "We need volunteers!" We asked the person checking us in what they would offer if we volunteered. "They've been offering 3 tickets!" she replied. Thinking that she meant 3 tickets for the two of us, we agreed. The flight needed 6 volunteers, however, so they ended up offering all of us 4 tickets each! We knew that was VERY generous, but weren't about to complain. All 6 of us were talking about it so it's not as if we misunderstood. When we got home and tried to use the first voucher, we were told that we each only had 2! We have called the Air Tran customer service number and they told us there was NO record of that and that they never give more than 2 vouchers. Had we only been offered 2 we would have still volunteered to be bumped, but it makes us very angry to feel we were deceived. I have no complaints whatsoever about the flight and everyone we dealt with at the airport was courteous - it's just the fact that they misled us.

We really didn't like paying for our bags to fly or if we wanted a seat sitting next to our children. But the flights were smooth and on-time and the ailine stewards were polite. Checking in went smooth on both ends and we had no problems boarding.

It was a little slow getting on and off the plane. Gate was not ready when we got to HPN, but the wait wasn't to long. Otherwise everything went well.

paid for assigned seating for 2 grandkids&me - they were given to other passengers. wrote complaint - never heard from the airline. Was told by supervisor in Atlanta that I did not do online check in and paid for advanced seating (I did not pay for advanced seating and couldn't check in online). Was told by supervisor my assigned seats were given to confirmed passenger and to ask passenger to change seats with me. He couldn't have cared less that I was not sitting with my 2 underage grandchildren. I paid to have secured seating next to my minor grandkids and was RIPPED OFF! Airline travel on AirTran is not something I would suggest to anyone.

Harrisburg international airport is THE best place to fly out of. It is small in size but big in savings. I will always use this place over bigger airports and bigger fees.

When recently purchasing a trip on AirTran Vacations I ran into several problems, after I purchased. First you CANNOT purchase insurance for your trip through AirTran Vacations, not even for the airfare part of the trip, even though it is available if you purchase directly from AirTran. Secondly, when I called to cancel the hotel part of the trip, since they do bill you separately for the hotel (2 charges on your credit card) I was told that I had to cancel the entire trip in order to cancel the hotel. Which would add a $75 fee or each person (2) on our airline ticket for both ways, plus $75 to cancel the hotel. $375 to cancel????? AirTran Vacations Needs to change it's policies. AVOID AirTran Vacations!!!!!

I fly AirTran whenever I can because the flight crew is always friendly. The pilot and flight attendants were making jokes with us over the microphone. It was a very enjoyable flight.

We have had good experience with the direct flight to Orlando. AirTran is a preferred airline with Disney, which means you can check your bags all the way through to a Disney resort (make arrangements with the resort), which is a real perk. A Disney bus will pick you up at the airport and bring you back when it is time to go home. In fact, we checked our bags at the resort and spent most of the day in the park before leaving. Good deal too! Go AirTran!!

Prepaying my checked bags to get my boarding passes was a nightmare from my resort. Apparently Airtran doesn't like to have you get your boarding passes until the morning of your flight, even though they are available 24 hours before. Not only do they charge for checked bags, they make it near impossible to pre pay for the bags. Just not what I wanted to mess with for 2 hours during my last day of vacation.

AirTran - Late flight, rude agents that give minimum effort, rude flight attendant (dead heading). It won't be easy to convert the AirTran attitudes to the #winning ways of Southwest.

Stood in line for over 30 minutes to check in,because of a passenger bringing on a firearm. Then when finally getting to the counter she woulldn 't check me in due to the time allowance. So I said just put luggage on a different flight and it can come in late. She had no options for me other than a booked flight 9 hours away or the next day. Went to South west and I made it to see my family within 6 hours and 188 dollars later.
