Try out this new route on Frontier by only paying the mandatory taxes and fees, which total $29 roundtrip from Atlanta to Sarasota. New nonstop service begins December 10, 2018, and this rock-bottom price is only available for travel on a few dates in December. As an example, I found seats departing Atlanta ATL on Wednesday, December 12, returning from Sarasota SRQ on Monday, December 17. The breakdown shows a $0 airfare and a total of $14.20 each way in mandatory taxes/fees. Of course, bag fees are extra, but you can travel with just a personal item for this low fare. San Francisco - Long Beach $87 Roundtrip for Fall/Winter Travel

From JetBlue's fall/winter travel sale, fly nonstop from San Francisco to Long Beach for $87 roundtrip. Avoid the madness at LAX and fly into the easy-going Long Beach airport for your trip to SoCal. Plus, you'll be able to take a ghost tour on the Queen Mary. Upgrade to Main Cabin Economy for $60 more roundtrip if you want to avoid restrictions on seat selection and ticket changes. Book a room at Hotel Provincial and you may experience some paranormal activity.

Minneapolis - Boston $127 Roundtrip for Fall/Winter Travel

If you want to fly to Salem, you'll need to find a broomstick. Alternatively, you can fly into nearby Boston-Logan airport on an airplane. Nonstop flights on Delta and JetBlue from Minneapolis to Boston are $127 roundtrip. Both airlines include a carry-on bag plus a personal item for this price, which can be found for daily travel through mid-February. If you want to travel light or prefer to check a bag instead of a carry-on, Sun Country has flights for slightly less at $117 roundtrip. Keep in mind that Sun Country's fare only includes a small personal item, but checked bag fees are lower than the other airlines. I found seats departing Minneapolis MSP on Friday, December 7, returning from Boston BOS on Sunday, December 9. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

Philadelphia - San Francisco $197 Roundtrip for Fall/Winter Travel

Alaska Airlines has some amazing cross-country fares in its latest 2-day flash sale, which ends tonight. Fly nonstop from Philadelphia to San Francisco for $197 roundtrip. American and United are matching this price for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, from December through early March, excluding peak holiday travel. I found seats departing Philadelphia PHL on Saturday, December 8, returning from San Francisco SFO on Saturday, December 15.

New York - Mexico City $220 Roundtrip for Winter/Spring Travel

Escape winter in New York by booking a flight to Mexico City before the Day of the Dead. VivaAerobus began new nonstop service between New York and Mexico this month and prices are dropping to historic lows on this route. Fly nonstop from New York to Mexico City for $220 roundtrip in February and March. Slightly higher fares can be found from late November through January, excluding peak holiday travel. Searching Viva's website, I found seats departing New York JFK on Thursday, March 14, returning from Mexico City MEX on Sunday, March 24. This VivaLight price only includes 22 lbs. of carry-on luggage. If you need to check a bag, I recommend purchasing the $276 VivaBasic fare, which also includes 33 lbs. of checked luggage.

Washington D.C. - Helsinki $296 Roundtrip for Fall Travel

Fly from Washington D.C. to Helsinki via Reykjavik for $296 roundtrip on Icelandair. This one is only available on a couple of dates, but I couldn't resist telling you about a sub-$300 fare from D.C. to HEL via the land of total darkness. I found seats departing Washington IAD on Tuesday, November 27, returning from Helsinki HEL on Friday, December 7. There's only one other set of dates that work for this price, but there is more availability for slightly higher fares between $323-$336 roundtrip for travel through March. This Economy Light fare only includes carry-on bags. Choose the standard Economy fare for $100 more if you need to check a bag.

Boston - New Delhi $454 Roundtrip for Winter Travel

WOW Air is flying to India starting in December and we are now starting to see some promo code sales that include flights to India. Fly from Boston to New Delhi for $454 roundtrip on WOW Air. To book, use promo code WOWTREAT on wowair.com for travel through March. I was able to find this price departing Boston BOS on Monday, January 28, returning from New Delhi DEL on Wednesday, February 6. The catch is that this price only includes a small personal item. You'll have to pay $55 each way for a carry-on bag and/or $70 each way for a checked bag if you can't travel super light. This 30% off promo code sale expires on November 2.

Phoenix - Madrid $451 Roundtrip for Fall/Winter Travel

Fly from Phoenix to Madrid for $451 roundtrip on United/Air Canada. Best of all, this is a standard Economy fare, which includes one free checked bag and seat selection. Travel on scattered dates from late November through March, with a 7-night minimum stay required. The price may fluctuate slightly depending on your dates and choice of airline. I found seats departing Phoenix PHX on Thursday, February 7, returning from Madrid MAD on Friday, February 15.
