Hawaiian Airlines has just debuted a new sale for travel between mainland U.S. and the Aloha State. Find discounted flights to Kahului, Honolulu, Lihue, and Kona from $278 roundtrip, but only through February 21. Travel is good March, April, and May.
When researching these fares, I found there was ample availability at the cheapest rates during the month of March but waned in April and May.
- Travel Period: March 2 - May 21
- Travel Days of the Week: Travel to Hawaii is valid Tuesdays and Thursdays. Travel from Hawaii is valid Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Blackout Dates: No listed blackout dates
Advertised sale fares must be purchased by February 21, 2020. Some of the unadvertised deals appear to be price matching the one-day sale on Alaska Airlines and may expire tonight, January 28.
All fares are nonstop and work in the reverse direction as well.
Flights to/from Hawaii
These fares include a carry-on bag plus one personal item. The first checked piece of luggage will cost $30 each-way.
Fares listed between the U.S. Mainland and Hawaii are Main Cabin Basic, which means advanced seat assignments are not possible during booking. You may be able to choose a seat upon check-in or they will be randomly assigned at the gate.
Hawaiian Airlines' Main Cabin fares are available for $30-$55 more each way. This type of fare will include standard seat selection during booking and also allows upgrades and ticket changes (fee applies).
Make sure to compare with other airlines such as Delta, American, Alaska, and Southwest. These carriers may start to price match this sale and could offer better flight times or expanded travel dates. Keep in mind that most other carriers do not include meal service on all Hawaii routes. Baggage fees are similar on all other carriers except Southwest, which includes two free checked bags.
