O Canada! Sun Country Airlines is expanding its flight network to Canada next May from its main hub in Minneapolis. The new nonstop service to Vancouver will be the first venture into Canadian territory for the Minnesota-based carrier. Intro fares are available for purchase from $229 roundtrip.
New Nonstop Service from Minneapolis to Vancouver on Sun Country Airlines
New nonstop flights begin May 20, 2020, and will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer. Flights depart Minneapolis (MSP) at 7:45 am, arriving in Vancouver (YVR) at 9:25 am. Flights will depart Vancouver at 10:20 am, arriving back in Minneapolis at 3:44 pm. All times local.

Minneapolis to Vancouver $229 USD roundtrip
Vancouver to Minneapolis $329 CAD roundtrip
It's cheapest to book two separate one-way fares in each direction for travel originating in Canada. Booking a simple roundtrip will be slightly more expensive.
Baggage
These fares only include one small personal item. Carry-on and checked bag fees start at $30 each way when booked online.
Seat Assignments
Seats will be assigned at random upon check-in for these prices. You may pay a fee to choose a specific seat.
Alternate Fares
Since Sun Country's lowest fares only include a small personal item and these routes have very limited service, make sure to compare with other airlines, such as Delta, American, and Alaska. These airlines may offer similar fares to match these new low fares from Sun Country and will include at least a normal carry-on bag plus one personal item.
United may also start to price match and its lowest fares between Canada and the U.S. often book into its standard Economy class, which includes a full-size carry-on bag.
