It’s time to get a jump on holiday flight planning. Southwest Airlines has opened up its booking schedule (previously November 3) with an extension through January 6, 2019. This extended schedule over the holiday period opens up a handful of new nonstop options from Southwest on newly announced routes.

Schedule Extension Brings Nonstop Links to New City Pairings

With this extension, several of the new routes are ready for booking, especially ones out of its newly leased slots from Alaska Airlines at LaGuardia (LGA) and Washington DC (DCA). Southwest is also making a push in some more West Coast markets in order to compete and strengthen its connection network before it finally launches its long awaited routes to Hawaii.

The low-cost carrier is making a big push in the Big Apple and will offer up to 35 daily flights from LGA by the end of November. These new nonstop routes beginning in early November are:

New York LGA to New Orleans $244 roundtrip

New York LGA to West Palm Beach $200 roundtrip (Saturdays only)

New York LGA to Orlando $264 roundtrip (Saturdays only)

Also in November, additional daily flights are being added to the following routes:

New York LGA to Dallas DAL $202 roundtrip

New York LGA to Denver $204 roundtrip

New York LGA to Kanas City $282 roundtrip

The nation’s capital is getting some “LUV” too, with this new nonstop route:

Washington DC DCA to Oklahoma City $228 roundtrip

And an additional daily flight will be added to:

Washington DC DCA to Nashville $294 roundtrip

Washington DC DCA to Dallas DAL $282 roundtrip

West Coasters won’t be left out either as Southwest is adding improved nonstop service in November to the following destinations in California:

San Jose to Tucson $188 roundtrip (new route)

Burbank to Houston HOU $290 roundtrip (new route/Sun – Fri service)

Burbank to Chicago MDW $318 roundtrip (new route/Sun – Fri service)

San Jose to Portland OR $146 roundtrip (2 added flights per day, 8 total)

San Jose to Orange County $122 roundtrip (2 added flights per day, 12 total)

Sacramento to New Orleans $358 roundtrip (daily service resumes)

We’re not done yet, folks. Southwest is also ramping up some service in its home state of Texas with the following nonstop additions:

Lubbock to Denver $178 roundtrip (new route)

El Paso to Denver $182 roundtrip (will expand to Sun – Fri service)

Houston HOU to Philadelphia $244 roundtrip (Sundays only)

Houston HOU to Sacramento $278 roundtrip (Sundays only)

And for the travelers looking for more passport stamps. November also brings one new route from Chicago (MDW) and the resumption of seasonal daily service to multiple destinations in Central America and the Caribbean over the winter travel period, such as:

Chicago MDW to Cabo San Lucas $350 roundtrip (new route/weekends only)

Ft. Lauderdale to Belize City $200 roundtrip (daily service resumes)

Ft. Lauderdale to Grand Cayman $202 roundtrip (daily service resumes)

Ft. Lauderdale to Turks and Caicos $224 roundtrip (daily service resumes)

Denver to Puerto Vallarta $322 roundtrip (daily service resumes)

Houston HOU to Liberia, CR $364 roundtrip (daily service resumes)

St. Louis to Cancun $359 roundtrip (daily service resumes)
