If you're looking to visit the Caribbean and don't have a passport, you're in luck with these great fares to Puerto Rico. Fly on "full-service" airlines like JetBlue, Delta, Southwest, or American to the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico for as little as $163 roundtrip.
Travel days vary by route. You'll have the easiest time finding the lowest fares when searching for travel dates on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, though some Friday/Saturday travel dates are also available depending on the month.
Most fares are available for travel in September and October, while some are also available for travel in late August or from mid-January through April.
This sale is unadvertised and fares my jump at any time.
All fares also work in the reverse direction.
Please note, Southwest fares are only available on Southwest.com. Other carriers regularly match these sale fares, so be sure to compare to find the best deal.
These fares all include a carry-on bag plus a small personal item. A checked bag is $30 each way on American, Delta, or Jetblue. Southwest includes two free checked bags.
JetBlue includes standard advanced seat assignments. Southwest has an open seating policy where you choose your seat as you board the aircraft. On American and Delta, seats will be assigned at random upon check-in for these Basic Economy prices.
American and Delta fares can be upgraded to a standard Main Cabin Economy fare for an extra $50-$60 roundtrip. This type of fare includes advanced seat selection and allows ticket changes/upgrades for a fee. First checked bag fee is the same $30 each way.
As an example, I found seats departing Charlotte CLT on Thursday, September 5, returning from San Juan SJU on Thursday, September 12, for $247 roundtrip.
