If you've ever wanted to venture above the Arctic Circle to experience a Polar Night or for the best viewing bases to witness the Northern Lights then traveling to Tromsø is must do. Luckily, SAS Scandanavian's latest sale is here to make that ethereal experience a reality with this fare from Newark to Tromsø, Norway for $577 roundtrip this fall and winter.

Travel Availability

Searching SAS's website, I found seats departing Newark EWR on Saturday, January 18, with return flights leaving Tromsø TOS on Monday, January 27, 2020.

Flights at this price are available on select dates starting in late August through the end of the airline's booking calendar in April 2020. For the best viewing opportunities, you'll need to visit from November through February, although sightings can happen outside those dates.

Baggage

These sale prices fall into SAS's "Go Light" category which only includes carry-on baggage. If you need to check a bag in the hold, you can choose SAS's "Go Smart" option which in most cases costs just $50-60 more. Still a fantastic deal!

Seat Assignments

You may choose your own assignments from standard economy class seats that are still available during or after booking.

Alternate Fares

These are the cheapest and most direct routes for travelers to reach Tromsø from the United States. Upgrading to SAS's Go Smart Fare bucket is $633 roundtrip, an amazing deal for this route that includes a standard sized piece of checked luggage up to 23kg/50lbs.
