The Southwest effect has spread its way across the Pacific and is on island time now. If you've purchased one those cheap fares from the mainland to Hawaii and want to see more than Waikiki Beach and make your way around the archipelago to take in each island's unique charm, then this the sale is for you.

Somewhat pricey inter-island flights in Hawaii we're the norm. But with Southwest setting up shop in Honolulu (HNL), flyers traveling between islands can expect the competition to sway like a dashboard hula dancer to match Southwest's low fares.

Baggage

Sale fares include a carry-on bag, a personal item, and two free checked bags up to 50lbs/23kg each.

Seat Assignments

Southwest has an open seating policy, which means there are no assigned seats and you'll get to choose your seat during boarding. The order of boarding is determined by the time of check-in so check-in exactly 24 hours before departure or pay for priority boarding for a better choice of seat.

Alternate Fares

Hawaiian Airlines is fare matching on many of these routes, so if you prefer to fly with them, you should be able to find an itinerary at the same price point. Keep in mind that Hawaiian's baggage policy isn't as generous as Southwest's and checked baggage will cost additional.
