For peak summer travel, fly nonstop from Charlotte to Baltimore for $116 roundtrip on Southwest. This is a big price drop for peak season travel and also works in the reverse direction from Baltimore to Charlotte.
Travel from late June through early November, including great availability for peak summer travel.
Searching Southwest, I found this price available departing Charlotte CLT on Friday, July 12, returning from Baltimore BWI on Monday, July 15. Perfect for a weekend getaway.
This fare includes a carry-on bag, a personal item, and two free checked bags.
Southwest has an open seating policy, which means there are no assigned seats and you'll get to choose your seat during boarding. The order of boarding is determined by the time of check-in so check-in exactly 24 hours before departure or pay for priority boarding for a better choice of seat.
American is selling the same fare as Basic Economy and Spirit Airlines, which begins new nonstop service on June 20, 2019, has slightly lower fares. Both airlines have fees for checked bags and Spirit even charges for a carry-on bag, so Southwest is usually a better option.
