Visiting the Big Easy has never been simpler. Fly nonstop from Chicago-ORD to New Orleans $119 roundtrip on American or United Airlines through December.

Travel Availability

As an example, I found seats departing ORD on Saturday, October 1, and returning from MSY on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.

Travel at this price point is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting in mid-April through December 18, 2019. Peak summer travel is available but inventory is at a reduced rate so you'll have to be flexible with your travel calendar.

Baggage

American's Basic Economy fares include a standard carry-on bag plus one personal item. United's Basic Economy fares only include a personal item. A checked bag costs $30 each way.

Seat Assignments

Seats will be assigned at random upon check-in for this price. You may pay a fee to choose a specific seat.

Alternate Fares

These are the lowest available rates at this price, upgrading to standard Economy fares will cost $200 extra so they are not worth considering. On some dates you might even be able to find United offering this fare for $109 roundtrip, dates are much harder to find at this price but they are out there. Keep in mind that United's Basic Economy fares are the more restrictive of the two airlines offering this fare.
