Emirates is celebrating Valentine's Day with a companion fare sale. Take that special someone on the trip of a lifetime by traveling on one of the top-rated airlines in the world. Fares start at $798 roundtrip for two people traveling on the same reservation, which is just $399 per person.
Emirates is advertising some specific routes for this promotion to cities like Milan (MXP), Athens (ATH), Bangkok (BKK), Cape Town (CPT), Dubai (DXB), Bali (DPS), Johannesburg (JNB), and Nairobi (NBO). Although, it also states that companion fares are also available to India and select Far East destinations, so it's fair to say that you may get a discount for any route on Emirates when traveling with a companion.
Travel rules and restrictions vary by route, but the most important rule is that you must travel with at least two people on the same reservation to get these per person airfares.
For the most part, travel is valid from late February through mid-April or mid-May, and from late August through early December, with inbound blackout dates during the summer months. Lowest fares are for travel from the USA Mondays through Wednesdays, and returning to the USA Mondays through Thursdays. There are surcharges for weekend travel.
