Qatar is offering discounted intro fares on its new service to Da Nang, Vietnam.

Fares start at $771 roundtrip for travel from January 1 through May 31. A minimum 7-day stay is required, with an allowed max of 3 months. Flights connect via Doha.

Searching Qatar, we easily found seats at the advertised price departing JFK on Monday, January 21, returning from DAD on January 29.

From JFK, lower fares are available on other carriers on certain dates. For example, Asiana has seats for $709 roundtrip for January, February, and March. Korean Air is $728 roundtrip for dates in May. Both connect via Seoul. And if you don't mind making multiple connections, China Southern has seats for $635 roundtrip.

Qatar's intro deal to Da Nang is set to expire on December 23.
